Another quick and clean way to add 12V power to Freewheeler trunk area. Harley part number #69201099
1) Review and adapt HD instructions for part number (contains "warnings" that may apply to some)
2) remove plastic plate in trunk, drill 7/8 hole and install socket, route cable under seat and ty wrap as needed
3) plug into aux socket under left panel
4) reinstall plate and socket,

Provided 12V, or plug in usb converter to charge 5V devices

Start to finish about 10 minutes

One of multiple ways to get more power

I took it a step farther, not nearly as clean as your installation. I have 3 12v outlets, and 5 7v for recharging MP3 players etc. Also, I found a 600w inverter so I have 110v ac if I ever need it. The upholstery in the trunk works just like the 'loop' part of Velcro, so everything is 'stuck'. Works great.

Steve, started to install like yours with just wiring coming to components velcro to wall, but found cable to just have a flush plug, too many times on trips (like recent Hollister run) have too much in the trunk and with taking it in/out each night, afraid of messing it up. Now I can have it both ways.

Did you wiring into the battery, or accessory side of things???
