Have any of you replaced the stock Yamaha exhaust wit something different? Where did you find piping to extend from the Champion extension pipes? So far auto parts stores are a bust as the only thing the local places have are short adapter pipes. Looks like I may have to talk to an exhaust shop.

Road Star exhaust ??

I had Bub Stubbies on the Roadie at time of conversion.
Went to hot rod shop and had 2" exhaust extensions fabricated.
They did an excellent job for reasonable money.
Hope this helps.

I kept my OEM exhaust but took off the mufflers and put Roadhouse Slip-ons. A world of difference. Ken

I had Vance & Hines, 2 into 1 ProPipe before conversion. Had to go to a muffler shop and have a custom piece made to maintain my V&H header pipes and collector, to mate to the dual exhaust of the CSC kit.

What I'm doing is replacing the stock mufflers witha set of Cobra slip-ons. The problem has been the pipe diameter on the trike and that the Cobras are significantly shorter than the stock mufflers. They are a non-standard size, 1 3/8" OD. Not many places carry that size. After checking most of the muffler shops (one of which suggested fence pipe ??) & bike shops in the area, I did some figuring and a bit of on line searching. Came up with the following solution which is easily fabricated in my own garage: use 1 1/2" OD pipe from the extensions on the trike to a 1 1/2" ID x 1 3/8" OD adapter that slips in the muffler. Also, using a reducer that slips into the pipe that reduces it down to 1 3/8" ID to fit to the extensions. A little bit of measuring, a couple of swipes with the chop saw and a bit of welding the pipes & adapters. Maybe a two beer job. I'm figuring I can use the hanger from the trike kit and the mount bracket that comes with the Cobras (with maybe an extra piece of 1/8" flat stock) to hang them.

Took me long enough to get to the KISS route.

Overthought this from the beginning but, then my thought processes have been all out of whack the last 4 months.

Ordered the pipe and reducer bushings from my local O'Reilly's (only place that could get the bushings) Friday and should be in this evening when I get off work. Will post pics of this when I finish it.
