Transformer trunk lock

Anyone tell us the correct method for locking the trunk on our Transformer? We can turn the key 90deg to either side but cannot remove the key to lock it.

I'm guessing like the tri ... return it to 12 to remove, just a guess. The tri is returned to 9

Our key will only come out one way,in the unlock position.

Kinda don't make sense to leave the key in when it's locked ...

Just out of ideas ... lightning the mood till another transformer owner chimes in.

But i'd almost bet one direction locks it and the other unlocks it and the key is only removed in the center position.

Sherry and I just got back from a nice leisurely ride through the country. Before we left the house,I somehow managed to lock the trunk with her cane inside. Was able to get it unlocked when we returned but it honestly was blind luck. Will try again in the morning when it's not so darned hot.

I was having the same problem on my RSV/Hannigan.
The lock wasn't going completely to the stop and the key would not come out.
I loosened the nut on the inside of the lid and adjusted the lock slightly and tightened it back down. Problem solved.

I had to oil mine. Just a drop of 3 in 1 oil down the key hole. After oiling works fine Insert key, turn to lock, turn back then pull key out. Mine works fine now.
I hope you enjoy your transformer as much as we enjoy ours.

It was probably "operator error". :laugh: The best problems are the ones you can figure out by yourself,,and I think I might have. If this is the most significant problem we run into,we'll be doing good.

Sherry and I are very proud of our new Transformer and can't wait to put many miles on it.
