Hello
after adding the new lights to the instrument cluster,
did you use the colored lights red, or green, ect. did it make it any easier
to see the speedometer. I am going to change the gage faces and then change
out the bulbs. I ordered 10 red and 10 white t5 replacement leds. I am planning on putting
a bright white led in the speedo hole and the blinker holes all the rest red.
Thanx

Good Morning
I finally got my custom face gage kit from carid.
Well got the package open and it looked like someone threw in
a handful of needles and the faceplates were just floating around in the box.
there were 8 needles in the box and none of them fit. called tech support
and was told they would solve the problem within 24-48 hours, ok.
after a week I call them back and tell them to refund my money.
put the old cluster back together with new led lights anyway.
sure would liked to have the new look as long as I had it apart .
I used 9 red led bulbs and 1 super white led for speedometer.

thanks for inf what were the bulbs that you used ?

Hi Doc
As was posted by gorilla they were t5 wedge. bought the lights on amazon
came in 10 led light packs .One set came with new wedges and the other didn't.
did have to play with the mounting as one way they work and the other they
won't come on. put the lights in go plug in cluster see what works and then
pull cluster back out reverse lights put cluster back in and make sure all lights work.
the only problem is I don't know if my cruise light works as it doesn't come on
when sitting. I think the vehicle has to be moving for it to come on and set?

thanks for the respond ,still under the weather so to speak and havn't done the change out as of yet

Good morning
This is what I have found after installing the led lights. the led's are brighter but they act more
like a spot light, meaning the led just has a bulb on the top of the plugin and pattern is just as a spot,
the bulb on the other hand lights in all directions and gives a spread out pattern. the instrument panel
inside where the lights go are made to have certain areas light up in a group and a spread out pattern.
so I guess what I am saying is the led's just quite don't light a large area. a dimmer switch would light
up the area better.

Thanks
I guess those would work way better, oh well maybe next year if I take it apart again.
they are cheap lights. now it is all locked up and sealed and ready for the road.

Thanks
Dragon
