Hey all new to the forum. Have been soaking up a lot of the information available on this site. Very interesting reading. Decided to go ahead and order a Voyager kit for my 96 Goldwing SE.
I have ridden CSC and DFT trike conversions and was not real impressed with the ride quality. A few weeks ago we were in Ottawa IL., where Voyager is located, stopped in and had a great visit to their place. They had a 1800 with a kit on it we got to play with. I felt the ride was a bit better than full conversions and it handled real well. I'm also a fan of being able to ride 2 wheels if I choose. Some roads just call for 2 wheels! So I guess in about 4 weeks it will be ready. I will sure post some pics when I have it.

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the outrigger group... I ride a Tow Pac and enjoy it, I'm sure you will love the Voyager... I'm riding 2 wheels at the present but will be reinstalling the TP shortly for ride down The Natchez Trace and then over to New Orleans with my bride...

Be sure and post those pics when you get it installed...

Have ridden the Trace. Nice ride, watch for the wildlife, we about hit a turkey. Nashville end was very enjoyable, more curves! Ride careful and enjoy.

Welcome to the ranks of Voyager owners. I've only had mine a couple weeks but have put 600+ miles on it and love it so far. The key is the installation set-up and I had mine done by the dealer I bought it from....smooth sailing from the start. Good luck and safe travels. ThumbUp

That is also why I chose to have Voyager install the kit. Wasn't that expensive to have them do it, and I figure they should know how to put it on correctly. They said 3 hours. Seems that checking the bolts occasionally and adjusting the preload once a year pretty much covers maintenance on it. Check the air in the tires when you check the bike tires. Could make it a bit more difficult to check the rear tire on the bike.

Today's the day!

We take the wing in to get the new Voyager kit installed today. Really looking forward to it. Here is a before pic. Will post a new one when we get home later.

you will either love it or hate it , I have put on 12000 miles on my voyager and I could not ride with out it. Wonderful invention. Got a trailer now and it pulls easy so easy don't know its back there. Enjoy it.

Finally got around to taking a picture. We are pretty happy so far. We are getting use to the way it corners and rides. Seems to ride a little rougher than before, which is understandable. Seems everything you add to your bike comes with its own little quirks and we have it dialed in pretty good. Only complaint right now would be the hitch set up. I think a 1 1/4 receiver would be a more useful set up than the fixed ball mount. We use to carry a cooler rack on the bike hitch. Maybe a modification is needed! Have to get the trailer out now and see how it does.

The trailer hitch is one of my big complaints also. I have a 2006 with the back plate. Maybe cutting a hole in the plate and welding in a square stock receiver might be the answer??

Welcome - Best wishes with the new Voyager kit. Let us know how you're doing and if you solved the hitch "problem". Have fun, post often, ride safe! :wave4:

Kuryakyn makes a cooler rack kit that works without a receiver hitch ...

check it out ... there's a bracket that mounts under the ball that holds the rack and stays there when the rack is not on.

Happy with our Voyager Trike purchase

We have had our Voyager trike on our 2010 Yamaha Venture for about 2 years now. We bought the kit form Madness Cycle out of Tennessee. Tony was very helpful and handled everything for us. He definitely made us feel comfortable. We had a champion Trike kit on our Goldwing and had we known he sold those as well, would have had him do that for us also. We ride the Venture about as much as we ride the Venture..both are TONS of fun!

Check him out...he is a super great guy! Tell him Trent sent you!!

New Voyager kit installed last month.

Independent dealer installed my kit on a 2009 HD. Bought new in June 2009. Never ridden a trike ever. First time out had difficult time turning in either direction. Second time out a bit better yet had hard time not putting feet down at stops. Tuesday took the bike out for a 25 mile back country roads. My bike has been lowered and going over speed bumps is a shocker. Barely crawl over bump and bike bottoms out big time. The noise about gave me a heart attack. I am finally feeling better with the way I handle the bike.

Need more practice. Curious about difficulty putting air in my drive tire. Love copying the mail. Learning useful tips.
