flrt running lights

I heard back from JES this morning and Joseph told me he was just too swamped with work to take on another project, right now. Did say that might change after the first of the new year.

After a visit or 2 to the HD shops and lots of research i have found anything that fits the road king will fit the flrt.
You can add the cvo passing lamps as lomg as you use the turn signals on the mount. You can also use the standard ultra passing lamps with the bar that connects the sides together. If you use a passing lamp with turns you can the use the fangs. There will be a small dimple at the rearward part where the turn signals were mounted.
That gives you several options to pick from.

update: I received another email from JES Custom Concepts this morning. They said they had started getting quite a few inquiries from Freewheeler owners interested in their fork wind deflectors so work will begin soon on a prototype set.

That is great news. I would be in for a set for sure.

As long as they look good I want a set as well!!!

I will be adding the kuryakyn running lights with turn signals so I can use their fork mounted air deflector.
That will solve me problem easy enough.
I am not very patient waiting on company's that Might make something.
I will make a post later on. I found the lights I want finally. Prices has gone out of sight.
I will be using these

I like em because the lights are small, don't like the 4.5 inch lights, they look out of place to me.
Harley Davidson thinks too much of theirs. $449 with out bulbs and enclosure, no thanks.
$319 is much better.

Hello. I followed your link to the lights but they say they don't fit the freewheeler.

Very interesting! Those look like they might work with the new style fangs from H-D which are really nice.

The bolting pattern on the flrt has the same pattern that the 2 wheeler's have. The biggest difference between a standard Road king and a flrt is the turn signal location and the raised chrome mounting covers. The bike one is straight, vertical, the flrt is angled that is why it has the raised chrome cover, it makes it vertical.
The light bar will fit after I remove the signals but there will be a small recess at the end, The mounting plate for the lights may cover enough of it so it can't be seen. Then you can add the fork mounted air deflectors.
I did a lot of research on the bolts, quick windshield mounts etc....
When I retired from the military I got bored and went to school until they said I couldn't go. I got 10 years in though. LOL
Next week I will be adding them. Take that long to get em.

I can't remember who posted a photo of their flrt with a light bar. A HD shop did it for them. From what I have found is that most things that fit a road king will fit a flrt. May be some changes for it to fit correctly but they will work. The front half is a road king and the rear half is a trike.

The RK light bar does not fit the FLRT - mods to the lower connection points and to the light pedistals would be required. And the FLRT front necklace is NOT the same as the one used on the RK - headlight sets different. and that creates an issue with using the RK light bar with a FLRT windshield as well.

But, if you find that picture, please also post the source for contacting the owner, I have a whole lot of questions. See I had the dealer try it when I bought my FLRT and encountered the above in the effort.
