I just joined trike talk and this is my first post. Can anyone help me with some information. I am looking to buy a 2003 GL 1800 Goldwing with less then 5000 miles on it. I can get this trike for $22,000.00 It has a California sidecar kit. Can some one tell me about this kit and if CSC had IRS in 2003. The owner says it has IRS. This trike is a 7 hour ride from my home and I do not what to drive that far for nothing. I want a kit with IRS.

Bill you need to look around and see what kind of prices that year is selling for.
A good place to look is ebay also look on the classifieds on here on triketalk.
Another thing is what kind of factory equipment it has on it such as c.b.,c.d. player.
After market accessories realy do not add much to the over all value.
Jim.

Bill, did the owner tell you when it was converted? CSC does have an IRS, but I don't know if they always did. I'm sure someone else on the site will be able to answer, or you can try asking the company itself (I found this on the website service@californiasidecar.com).

Good luck, and welcome!! :)

Easy to just look under it. BUT I do believe CSC is ID rear on all the 1800 wings but not the 1500 . I remember seeing it on display the last 5 or 6 years at Americade

Thanks Cheri and John someone else gave me some information and I am most likely not going to go with the CSC.

Thanks again Bill

hi bill i have a csc but on a harley. i also live in jersey. if your looking for a place that is great with trike conversions its in west berlin nj called acemotorworks. there webswight is acemotorworks.com and they work on and install quite alot of different kits. just went to them for my bike and they were great. good luck

I have found the folks at CSC very helpful, I am sure all the installers and companys are as well, but if I had specific questions I would get the Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin (MCO) number and make a call to CSC they might give you the best info regarding the unit. Just a suggestion but it could be the best info
