well, its been a year or two since I have been active here. Life gets in the way of good times and I had gotten very busy. since my last post we have been to NOLA twice, and bought a camping lot on current river. This required a lot of work. I had to put in water lines and septic system. also run the electric and them have a concrete pad pored . all of this then required a new camper . so as you can imagine last summer got away from me and was over before I knew it.
Im going to retire in about 4 years and wanted to have a spot to go have fun and enjoy in my old age.

this summer is going to be a little different ! Time to relax.

our plan is a ride from s.e. mo. to the south rim of the grand canyon. this will be my longest ride to date. I cant wait to get started. about 1400 miles one way. taking about 3 days to do it I will try to get so pic posted when we get back.

my old trike has had its ups and downs but has about 28000 miles on it now. the last trip to NOLA we traveled the natches trace trail from Nashville and went south as far as we could ending in gulf shores miss. (in one day!) then to NOLA for 3 days. I had myself all worked up about the trike getting hot. I had put on an oil cooler and put in a temp gauge. I worried the whole time about heat. then some one on this site(and I wish I could remember who) told me to calm down. If I had oil pressure and no noise I was doing ok.
after reviewing all of the information here on recommended oils................. I chose to go back to syn 3 and just rode it. Made it there and back no problems. I guess some of the gremlins are in our head.
just wanted to say hello and wish good riding to all.

Welcome back,Tom. Maybe you can make it to Osage Beach in June for the TT gathering there.

welcomed back with open arms ! (I don't think that's happened before:xzqxz::pepper:)

had to get a new tire yesterday . had 13,000 on a kenda front tire . I think I got my money out of it.
had flat/ bald spots in a few places. replaced it with a new Dunlop going the right direction. This was if I get lost I can look at the directional arrows and see which way to go.

Headed to patty's 1880's settlement (grand rivers Kentucky ) with our group this week end. Talk about food porn! I will get some pics. then off to the south rim of the Grand Canyon in a few weeks.
RIDING TIME IS HERE :pepper::pepper::pepper:

Hello Tom and from the U.P. of Michigan welcome BACK to the website. I see that you worked the medical field and I also did as a volley for a small service here for 14 years and a fire service for 24 years. But as you say, I also would like to do some traveling this summer so maybe our paths will cross! Ride safe, stop by often.
