Good morning
I have been having problems with my air bags loosing pressure or gaining pressure.:xzqxz:
I have been keeping between 15-20 psi. most times. what I am experiencing is that
I could be driving along and the pressure is zero, you can tell there is no psi by the
way it handles. at other times I look down and I have more psi than I put in.
the meter seems to have a mind of it's own. Is there any maintenance that needs to
be done to compressor or filter, ect.

Thanx

I have been very lucky with my 08 and haven't had any problems with the air bags but I do remember in some old post people talking about replacing the valves. I will try to do some research and see if I can find what I'm talking about.

I went through and read all the posts and am under the impression that the air should not go to zero.
On a post by stallion tech about adjusting the pressure to not go below a certain psi, meaning when the pressure
reaches a low psi the compressor will come on and set the system to the set psi and then you can adjust what psi
you want after that. basically the system should always have air unless there is a major leak.
Is the air suspension set at the factory to a certain psi. if so what? always something to play with

Thanx

I guess I should have read the manual.Driver controls page 22,
psi should be between 10-15 psi and be automatically maintained,
manual sure would be nice.

Dragon,

I noticed the fluctuation of the readout long ago when I first got my Stallion. I was concerned too, so checked with TMS and this is the reply I got. “That is normal. The transducer is a “quick read” transducer and reads the air pressure in the suspension at that moment. As your suspension compresses and rebounds, it creates a change in recognized air pressure in the system in turn, causing the readout to fluctuate as well.” So I guess we don’t have to be too concerned.

Hi Dean
I understand all the compression, temp things bouncing around a little
and changing psi. mostly what I am concerned about is why it is dumping
all the air every once in awhile when it is supposed to be set at 10-15 psi
always? as I understand it is not supposed to do that.

Thanx

My 2 cents ...

In a static condition the air suspension on my Stallion is 11 PSI ... even when all air is removed from system the compressors will restore the air pressure to the pre-set value stated above.

Mine stays rock solid on whatever it is set on. I have never seen any fluctuation, moving or static.....ever. Just for kicks, I pumped it up to 99 pounds once, then immediately bled it off.

Good morning
I finally got the chance to go through the air system.
pumped it up to 80 and sprayed enough soapy water solution on
all the parts, that I will be blowing bubbles for the next couple rides.
I ran the psi up and down sprayed more soapy solution, nothing
I did find that my system is set to pump back up to 9 psi after going to zero.
I think I will just have to watch it all tests seems normal. it is probably a road
demon picked up somewhere:xszpv:

Thanx

I just wonder how many '08 owners here have never done any maintenance on their airbag system and it will still hold pressure for at least a week. I have never done anything to mine and it will hold close to what I set it on for days. I have 69K on it.

Mine will leak down to about 12 pounds if I let it sit for a week. It will even leak down some when I first pump it up. It will usually loose between 5 and 7 pounds and then stay there all day. I usually run mine at 20 pounds unless I have the trailer on it and then I set it at 25 pounds. Rick
