Harleys 12 million dollar fine

After reading the article about the EPA fining HD for the sale and use of the Race Tuner,it states that HD must get all the tuners back from its dealers and destroy them by Aug 23rd. And any customer whom refuses to have it removed from their bike will have their warranty voided.Now my question is ,since a lot of the dealers have stated that if a customer buys the tuner from the dealer and has them install it along with other performance goodies that it would not void the warranty,every dealer in my area says this.So can you see a class action lawsuit coming.Since some folks have paid the dealer thousands of dollars to install performance items and dyno tune their bikes while being told that it does not void the warranty.It will be interesting to see what becomes of this.

Nit picken here... But to Paraphrase Everett Dirksen; A million here and a million there and pretty soon it gets into serious money... The fine is well over 15 million ...12 Million + 3 million for wood stove nonsense.. And then+ buy backs of tuners... I hope Harley has E&O Insurance...:Shrug:

We all end up payin for this stupidity. Harleys givin people what they want. The epa is the reason for the problems with harleys in the first place. Wish we could get rid of the epa. Look at all the bullshit we endure. Then look at china so much pollution you can't see down the street. Well that air goes around the world. It's like shovelin shit against the tide. 340000 thousand part time vehicles yea that'll make a real difference!
