Diagrams and manuals

Molino, FL for now
Is there away to make available diagrams and/or manuals so that everyone can have access to them?

I have been able to accumulate several: Sony radio and the remote, A/C wiring harness...even a Stallion manual (not the latest). It is my feeling that if these were available that more people might be interested in getting a Stallion as the brochure from the factory is very minimal in what it tells about the Stallion.

Just thought I'd offer...I also thought there might be others who might have something to "contribute" to the "library" and it that it could become a useful research tool.

Dennis most Stallion owners should all ready have what you have except for the a/c wiring diagram. Other stuff about Stallion just has not become available. I have asked several times from TBMS to offer a parts/ maintance/ service type manuals but they have not appeared as of yet. Sure wish they would. I like having manuals for the vehicles I have.

Tmigala, I know what you mean as far as Stallion owners go...but what I was trying to do was get a "library" up so that potential buyers could get some "inside" info (for lack of a better term) so that they could make an informed decision on whether the Stallion might be right for them.

Of course due to the forum a lot of topics are discussed and a lot of answers can be had by doing it that way...which is what I did, but I spent a lot of time gathering all my info up and I thought it might be a little easier if we had a "sticky" section or something along that line so that others, who are not yet owners, could browse thru and "whet their appetite" faster than what I have been able to...just a thought.

I didn't get much with my 2 wheeler, SUV or Mercedes so why would you think the Stallion would be any different ??? Everything you are asking for is for a mechanic and not the average owner. Any problem that I have come across, the factory (TMS) has been always great to work with.

He's right! I am considering one, and there is nothing out there. Seems kinda fishy. jimsjinx:confused:

What do you mean there is nothing out there? Seems kind of fishy? If you are refereing to people selling them there are some, but I bekieve MOST owners are happy with them. TBMS is sold out of them until the new year starts up which should be soon.

I think Jim was talking about info on the Stallion out there in internet land.

Not sure about the Trike Manufacturers but I can tell you that as a Bike owner you can purchase a Service Manual for just about any Bike made today, we always recommend New Owners consider a Service Manual for their New Yamaha, if for no other reason, than to become familiar with the Bike's Engineering. I know what everyone is saying about the Trike Mf'grs., as I became very frustrated with Motor Trike Corp. not even having a Pic on their Website of the New Yamaha Roadstar Kit and the only reason I finially ordered one was because they sent me pics of a customers conversion after they obtained his permission. I think the sharing of Manuals in a Library on here is an excellent Idea...as is our sharing of info. Had I not asked, I'd never had known about the 'Bungie Cord" Parking Brake....LOL!!!

if you would like to a. have wiring diag. for the stallion trike order a wiring manusl for an 07 ford ranger. you will have to disc.ard wires that the eng. did not use.DO NOT BUy a of brand manusl ,buy ford. chuck t

Thanks Chuck, that will help a lot but when you are looking for the location of something like a relay, etc it would be nice to have TBMS tells us where they mounted it at. I would love to have the manuals even at a couple hundred bucks for them if we could get them.

I too don't understand the big secrets. You would think that TBMS would be willing to come up with a manual for the Stallion. Must be something of time consuming and money!

Well, to help you guys out, the service manual for the Stallion was something I was attempting to do when I worked there. The hard part about it was trying to write a step-by-step manual while working full time everyday. The Stallion can be a nightmare to work on sometimes, but it can also be fairly easy. One of the most frustrating things to service is the wiring. there are factory wiring diagrams for later model stallions. I will have to do some searching in all my paperwork, but there was anewer style wiring harness installed in the Stallion after a certain VIN number. I know all of this, because i was there...lol. We went through alot of changes to try and make the Stallion easy to service. The earlier VIN #'s did use the wiring schematic of the ford ranger. Alot of dealerships do not like to work on them because they simply know NOTHING about the trike, except for the motor and transmission. That is why I work on them in my shop, if needed. I know the bike and understand the bike. If you can find a good trustworthy shop or mechanic to work on it, then keep em. I have always told members on here that I will help anytime I can. I do have alot of information and paperwork from my notes. The people a TBMS have always done a great job with helping customers in any way possible. If that doesnt seem to help, please feel free to contact me.

If you can not get a parts and shop manual for the product you are going to buy, buy something where a manual is available.
Have a trike, have tried to get a parts and service manual for it. Have not had any luck.
Have the manuals for the Yamaha, not the trike kit.
It will be sold this spring.

Thanks Kevin. I for one would pay you for any information that you could put together on the Stallion. If you did it in Digital form we could pay you through PAYPAL for the download. Ted

Hey Kevin,

What Ted said (above) goes for me as well. When I owned a '02 Gold Wing, I purchased a set (7) maintenance DVDs that was put together by an individual Gold Wing owner that was very mechanically skilled and talented. Without these, I would have never attempted to do my own work on my bike. They were invaluable and saved me many times over the cost of what I spent on the DVDs compared to what I would have spent on labor cost if I had taken it to my local Honda dealer. I'm sure you will find that the majority of the Stallion owners will feel the same as Ted and I do, particularly those that have none of their warranty left and/or do not have a local Ford dealership that will service their Stallions.

Regards,
Paul M.

Well, I would be more than happy to help in that way, but it would be so much more easier to make a DVD if I had a Stallion bike to work with in the shop. I wouldnt mind doing anything like that, but it would definetly be easier to show a repair with a real bike. On paper, everything is easier...lol. I wish there was a way I could get a Stallion to use, I would happily make a how-to DVD. As far as some other information I have, I would have to contact TBMS and see if they would allow me to use their information. I would hate to get in trouble for using something without their permission. I worked on the Stallion line from VIN #149 until the stopped making them in 2011. Every Stallion produced, built, wired, tested, checked, and repaired went through my hands. I did all repairs, testing, and upgrade testing. I felt priveledged being able to do that with such a Great company. It was unfortunate that I had to leave, but family matters took me away from it. I will give all the credit to the devoted engineers and management at TBMS, they are a very hard working and dedicated crew. Ill try to look into doing this, but would need a donor bike. If you guys know of anybody, let me know, and let me know what yall would like to see on the repairs, and ill see what I can do.

Anyone living near Conway Arkansas with a Stallion willing to work with Kevin on this project for the rest of us? Kevin if you could check with Jeff and see what he is willing to allow happen that would be great. With dealers being so far away from many of us we need to do something to keep our beloved Stallions going.

Kevin, I live in Dexter MO and would be interested in letting you use my Stallion if you are talking about doing this during the winter. All of us Stallion owners who want to work on our Stallions want and need this. If you can work this out with TMS let me know.

Ed

I will get with TBMS this week and see if I can get them to give me some approval of the sort. Im not sure the extent that will let me go when it comes to wiring and everything. Ill keep you guys posted on what i find out. Ed, if you are willing to do that with your bike, I would be willing to start making progress on the manual. As for the repairs, I would need alot of feedback to know what you guys want included in it.
