We had the Can Am CB in our 2012 RT model so had one put in our 2016 as well. My wife(It's her scoot) is taking it back in for a replacement under warranty. This one just doesn't work as well or the first was exceptional I'm not sure which. I like the fact the unit is out of sight and all the controls are right there on the handlebar but in all honesty I'm thinking a J&M CB would have done just as good in both cases. That's what I have on my Indian and it's worked just fine. But it is exposed to the weather and by all rights I should put it's rain cover on it. But I don't. It's been in some pretty heavy downpours too and still working fine.
But that's really the only two choices you have. I'm not sure if the BRP CB isn't a J&M under the covers or some other brand. BRP sure doesn't make them and I only know of one other company.
I think they are called MP3 or something like that.
They make the ones for Goldwings if I have the name correct and they said in an email to them that they would have one for Indians soon. But the J&M has worked so well that I never followed up on it.
Thank youCanAm sells a unit:

Thank you guys this will be helpful ,I will pass the info to him. thanks again captain hI use a Midland handheld and a Sena SR10 to bluetooth it up to my helmet. It also gives you a PTT button. I bought the Sens from Motorcycledave.com
From what I been reading the BRP CB is not the greatest :xzqxz:..Aftermarket most likely is the way to go as the above posts have stated. ThumbUp
Thank you , I will pass it on . It really makes it alot easier & enjoyable when your leading and don't know how to get to where you are going . Just to be able to pick up the mike & say which way, or what do you think ? .lol, I know , I should not have beem leading . But on this ride , it was the blind leading the blind , :xzqxz: This was his first all day trip with his spyder & I think he did great . I don't think we could of had any more fun that day epper:well , maybe if he had a cb , lol . thanks again guys captain h
How do you like that setup. i Just bought one it hasnt arrived yetI use a Midland handheld and a Sena SR10 to bluetooth it up to my helmet. It also gives you a PTT button. I bought the Sens from Motorcycledave.com
I like it a lot. I just got the Sena B/T but the bike is way for the winter so haven't used that part yet. I used the handheld all last summer with a handheld mike/speaker combination. Worked ok but awkward. Having it in my helmet will be much better. How do you like that setup. i Just bought one it hasnt arrived yet
