Any idea why Slingshot insurance is so high?? The cheapest I could find was over $1200 per year. Agent said it was the CC's but my Boss Hoss was a lot larger and about half the price??

Insurance co's. can't decide if it's a bike or a car so, they charge you for both:D:laugh::clapping::wave4:

Probably close to the truth... That happen when the Spyders first came out..The insurance co didn't know what to make of them...Is it a Bird is it a Plane' Who knows we'll just come up with a figure ''we'' can live with' And see who salutes it... :wave4:

Check with Allstate as they are trike friendly but you need to tell them it is a trike and it's lower than their m/c rates.

I have heard that some state are starting a new vehicle class, called "auto-bike"..maybe that will help with insurance & wearing of helmets.

In Jersey their still registered as a Motorcycle. But a mc license and helmets aren't required ...But it would be wise to carry a copy of those regulations with the Slingshot....

1200 a year. you need to fined a new Agent or move to Texas that $1200 a year is way way to high

Allstate sucks IMO they cannot beat my rates with Dairyland 1 dollar a day for full coverage in fact ALLstate dropped my HD insurance but not my car and home owners go figure

Try Foremost Insurance. They specialize in bike and RV insurance. Good people and if you belong to AARP the rate is heavily discounted. My local Foremost agent couldn't touch the rate Foremost offered through AARP..

I had Foremost for over 20 + years' Then they raised their rates across the board in NJ, So i switched to GEICO and saved close to 3 hundred a year, Same coverage....

GEICO

I have geico its about 50.00 a month for a 2016 sl model a little high if u ask me and thats with 4 rigs with full coverage
