That is how we stared the Snowbird Gathering 5 years ago. Next year year we will be in Ocala, Fl which will be the 4th different location in 5 years. Mixing it up is good to do so you get to see other areas and attractions. For 3 years we did stay in the same general area for our starting point but as the motels hiked their rates, we moved to another.
Don't be shy about trying to set something up. Look for an area which has some good riding, eating and sight seeing areas and reasonable motel rates do help for a lot of our members to be able to attend a couple of events rather than one bigger one every year.
