A Day in the Life...

Went for a 4 hour putt...sure was nice!

Stopped about halfway and saw Devin at his home. He was washing his RZR sidebyside.

Went for a little ride in it. That thing is crazy!

Was good to get back on the bike and continue my afternoon wanderings on some Mississippi county roads. :)

About a year and a half ago a Customer (Soren) from Denmark let us know he was going on a Group Harley Tour of part of the USA and would be passing thru our area.

Today is the day! :)

Meeting him and a bunch of riders from Europe this afternoon over in the Mississippi Delta.

We'll ride a bit together today, then tomorrow we'll be doing some more riding and a tour of the shop.

Friday the group rides on to Nashville and then on to the Smokeys, before riding down to Florida for the end of their trip.

After corresponding with him for over a year, really looking forward to meeting Soren in person, and showing him some riding around our country roads!

Days upon days Kevin! I should have everything done by July 4th. Top to do inside after they leave. But on the bright side my woodshop is going to double in sixe!:D

Very cool! Some good coming out of it.

July 4th???? Wow, that is a long time. I've never lived where there were basements and the associated issues. Crazy.

The weather turned cold, windy and a little rainy yesterday.

Met up with Soren and the riders from Denmark yesterday afternoon in Tunica, MS.

Meeting%20in%20Tunica%20Soren_zpstjguef5d.jpg

There are 24 bike total on their tour, they are split into two groups. Rode with Soren's group from Tunica up to downtown Memphis. Stopping for gas along the way.

After they got checked in at their motel, Soren and I rode down to our place in Mississippi, picked up Mary, and rode back up to Beale Street.

Having dinner and enjoying some Delta Blues in the Rum Boogie Cafe.

They are all on a Graceland Tour right now, later today we'll be meeting up for some country road riding and a walk thru the shop, then....???

Gona wait till all repairs are done. Might be a wile with all the rain we've been getting. Got mud city now. The gun is loaded!:gun2:

Been a busy few days.

It was great to have Soren in town. We did some riding, spent time talking about differences between the USA and Denmark, talked bikes, and generally had a good time.

Soren and I had just gotten back from running around some back roads on the Sportys.

We really enjoyed the visit, and wish him and the entire group a safe and enjoyable trip visiting 5 more SE States.

We can get in a little embarrassing situation at times. Back in 74, Alaska, I bought a new 350 dirt bike. I was getting a little ride time at lunch time. Hit the trail and was having a blast getting the feel of the bike. Next thing I knew I was eating the dirt. Dang new bike, clutch lever bent, mirror gone, hole in the knee of the army fatigues, highly spit polished boots permanent scuffs and mud all over me.

Here comes the hard part, this 10 year old kid rides up and says, nice bike, looks new, all scratched up,all you need to do is learn how to ride and it will be fun. Jim

Kevin, I'll see your 10 years and raise you 4. This was from late in '03. Norfolk VA Fleet Week, Rumble through the Tunnels. About 1000 bikes Police escorted through the three tunnels under the rivers in Norfolk.

Unique experience, but I never want to ride with that many bikes again.
