Which Trike Kit

I've been reading a lot on here and on dealer sites about which trike kit I should get. I'm currently still on 2 wheels. Without beating me up too bad...lol, what are the pros and cons of Hannigan vs CSC? Thanks in advance.

They both have IRS rears, so I suggest a test ride on either one. Also a heads up, as the ride is different than a 2 wheeler.

the three mentioned are all good but, different like Ford, Chevy, Dodge. You really need to ride one of each and decide which one fills your needs best.

I chose a Roadsmith for the long wheelbase, IRS with trailing arm suspension, use of auto parts instead of proprietary parts, and low repair record.

The other two are also good. I think CSC is the best looking kit. I like Hannigan for the same reasons as Roadsmith plus the extra width. Today, I would choose a Hannigan if I were in the market. Tomorrow? who knows what's around the corner.

What he said. I ride a Hannigan. Had planned on buying a Roadsmith, however when I rode them both I decided on the Hannigan. Found out later from the Roadsmith company owner that the forks were probably a bit off on the Roadsmith because wife and I both felt like we pitched forward while riding. I later sat on a friends Roadsmith and it didn't do that so sounds like the guy was right. You won't go wrong with any good brand kit IMHO.

The next major rally where you'd be able to test ride trikes that I know of is Wing Ding 39 in Texas. Unless there is a trike shop close by you that offers the conversions you are interested in.

I personally like Roadsmith and their use of off the shelf automobile parts, if it needs to be replaced stroll down to NAPA and get what you need and be back on the road.

Its up to you which one you purchase, as I can offer my opinion to you. :Dorag:

Like some of the others have said, ride as many as you can. I believe I see that you are in PA. There is a rally I believe in August in New York called Americade. There should be trike companies there that will let you test ride them. I took 2 years to decide on which kit I wanted and choose the Roadsmith and could not be happier. I had mine installed at The Trike Shop in White Bear Lake Minnesota. Great people there and Great service. :D

I have a 2007 GL1800 with a 2015 Roadsmith Kit and love it. Test ride the 3 manufactures mentioned. You may like the feel better on any one of them . Once you buy there is no turning back. Good luck with your search

Americade in a Lake George is June 6th thru 10th. Of the major trike conversion companies , Motor Trike & Roadsmith have demo rides at Fort William Henry. CSC also gives demo rides at The Leather Outlet on Rt. 9 south of the village. Hannigan is usually located at a Tour Expo but I don't believe they give demo rides. Last year Roadsmith decided not to come. I was told by a Roadsmith it might have been a poor decision on their part not to come. I took a demo ride on a Roadsmith in 2015. If I hadn't taken that demo ride I would probably be riding another CSC. If you decide to go for a demo, get there early .

Thanks for the correct date for Americade I don't know why I was thinking it was in August..

I go to the Americade rally every year...................I also test rode a Roadsmith model, and loved it.............I was also extremely disappointed last year to find Roadsmith was not there.... I had alot of questions to ask them, as well as wanting to order another trike.... I went to the "Cade" because 99% of the reason, was to speak to them personally, and wanted to thank them as well.............

I HOPE THEY GO BACK THIS COMING SEASON...........ROADSMITH IF YOUR READING THIS POST, COULD YOU PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU'LL BE BACK IN 2020

Ronnie

If not I will not waste my time going to this rally again (I've been going for over twenty years in a row)

I missed your big ole trailer last year...........
