for turning me on to the VTX Xtreme folks. I read in one of Joe's threads how he has a rake kit from Xtreme so I did a lot of research and talked to Daryl Hoksbergen the owner and decided to buy one for my 1300 Retro. Couldn't have talked with a nicer person and the price was right......$630 including a set of fork extenders to keep proper ground clearance once the rake is finished. He promised cornering will be a one handed affair once I do the rake but I said two hands will suit me just fine

I thought you were trading it in? Or do I have my synapses crossed?

Do you find your 1300 difficult to steer? Or are you just trying to optimize everything? Let us know how it goes. Everyone is telling me I'll love a rake, but my 1300 steers so nice I just can't see it. Am very interested in your experience with it.

I was going to trade it in but Holsapples in Woodstock NY found my vibration (coffee grinder sound)problem and fixed me right up soooooooo here I am keeping it and trying to optimize. I live where its one twisty after another and it gets hard on my upper body after awhile so the rake is called for. I really don't mind it when I'm by myself but two up I have to slow down quite a bit into corners. I get quite a bit of wobble in 1st gear slow speeds and I'm thinking the stock bearings being replaced and the rake kit may make a big difference there as well. Next I'll replace the stock front tire with a Michelin on backwards............I'll report back once I get my rake done
