DNA trike axle rotors

If you've worn out your rotors, you must have put a few miles on the axle. Just wondering how many, and your opinion of it's quality and durability?

I have about 11,000 miles on the axle, had trouble at first with the axle nut coming loose on the left wheel (as you face the front of the bike) that did something to the splines on the hub cured it by swopping the hubs and making a castle nut from the existing nut with a cotter pin through it. The axle is chain run for ease of removing the chain.

I am asking about the rotors because I was quoted $159.00 each by DNA and I think that is to much. So I am trying to find out what bike the rotors come off of to see if they are less expensive.

More than likely they are specific to DNA being manufactured in the Third World. The diameter is 9.25" and .250" thick. It will be hard to find a rotor that small for a motorcycle, probably scooter application. After machining to fit, the DNA price doesn't sound too bad. If you doubt my word, go to the Wilwood site and see what they get for their motorcycle rotors.:Dorag:

I agree with this answer

Too many times manufacturers buy weird stock that others cannot get to put a lock on their buying power

If Wildwood or Performance Machine aint got em u may be forced to go with DNA

Sorry I can't help with your rotor inquiry, but I do appreciate you taking the time to let me know about your experience with the DNA axle.

Pads

Hi, if you have the two piston calipers they are Brembo copys so easy to find the pads. Check www.bankeperformance.com to see what the Brembos look and they have pair of pads $22 for one caliber and for different thick discs. The rotors might be of 2003 Piaggio Nexus 500 scooter, that I'm not 100% shore but you might check them.

thank you...have e-mailed them

Jeff, I have them but I can't give you a shipping amount until I get to the Post Office with the package.

I shouldn't think it would be more than $16.00 anyways.

UPS would be outrageous.

I found them in Europe, seems they are popular over there.
