2018 GoldWing Pictures

Would be interesting if they bear any resemblance to the actual Gold Wing GL???? The 4th picture is very intriguing - it seems to be some sort of modified girder type front suspension. The "renderings" are well done, but the last 2 are not photographed, definitely photoshopped, though the last one looks like it was done with paint & brush.

To me it all looks like fake news. Mainly for 5 reasons. First, the picture of the dash shows 2 "N" indicators ... redundant !!! Second, the front brake master cylinder's cap is not symmetric and will lead to "cap sealing problems. Third, the radiator cap sits at an angle ... no manufacture that builds quality products would do that. Forth, is a yellow smiley face on the right side when the dash picture is enlarged. Last, in the 5th picture is a heated seat switch with a picture of a car seat on it.

I concur ... for all those reasons and because Honda is really good at keeping their new stuff secret.

My guess is another prototype. Just like the NeoWing leaning trike.

I'm sure big mouth is telling everyone I told you so. None of us know what Honda is doing, this could be a 2019 for all we know or maybe like the NeoWing.

According to this magazine article, the pictures originally came from someone in Twitter.

http://www.moto-net.com/article/pre...volees-des-honda-goldwing-et-bagger-2018.html

Using googles translate's tool, the second paragraph says "Impossible for the time to determine whether these photos seen on the Twitter account of the network of motorcycle taxis Gamos are real or whether it is montages like the web in raffole ... These images have the appearance of those of a press file, which prompts MNC to examine them more closely! It reveals a Goldwing seriously refreshed at the level of the look, which adopts as envisaged an electric windscreen and a multimedia console complete and modern."

So, back to the real news ... no new GoldWing for 2018.

I'm going to assume you don't spend any time as a passenger. This is the passenger's heater switch on my 2013 GL1800 Trike:

Second 'N' compass? small one neutral.

Good points !!!

But here is another that makes me wonder ... why a 6 cylinder engine when cars with 4 cylinders have plenty of power, are fuel efficient, are extremely reliable and smooth, and live high mileage lives ??? Especially when one considers that Ford's been talking about killing off their V8.

some possibilities

- less cost to re-due an engine thats already been around

- for marketing reasons

- for a 4 cylinder to have similar performance, it would need to be a 4-valve head

The NeoWing leaning trike has a four cylinder engine. Scuttlebutt over at 1800 has rumors the pics are from Russia and China . Went over there last night and read the comments, the 'Smiley Face' now that seems like a photoshopped joke pic . Should have a symbol for the 'Flux Capacitor' instead .

Both of the above videos are the same,

as are these other two

from Japan origins

and another,

that in the description says,

2017 Honda (USA) Discover What Lies Beyond campaign promo videoHonda Launches #WhatLiesBeyond Video CampaignFive-episode series will promote a 2018 model-year announcementAmerican Honda recently launched a five-video series intended to drive excitement surrounding the autumn global unveiling of an important 2018 motorcycle model. The initial episode, which went live last week on Hondas powersports website and social-media channels, explores the motivation behind riders exploring unknown roads and seeking out new experiences aboard their motorcycles. It features inspiring action and lifestyle footage of a disparate collection of Honda models, while a voiceover concludes, We know home, but what we dont know is what lies beyond. The video closes with the #WhatLiesBeyond hashtag and the date 10.24.17, which is when the new model will be revealed. Its always a thrill to kick off a new marketing campaign, and we think the first episode in this video series is entirely worthy of the significant 2018 model that its intended to promote, said Lee Edmunds, Manager of Powersports Marketing Communications at American Honda. Were proud to showcase our products features and benefits, but sometimes its nice to take a step back and simply celebrate the act of riding a motorcycle. We look forward to releasing episode 2 next month.

So... I am a subscriber. As was noted in the article RMitchell posted, it is interesting that there is no Goldwing (other than a 1st Gen and an F6B) featured in the videos.

A new Goldwing platform include a trike model? Surely someone in Japan noticed the success of the Harley Triglide...

Real or fake, nice looking machine. BTW: Did anyone notice the lack of a clutch lever in two of the photos?

Those 2 pics without the clutch Sort of looks like the Honda CTX700D....that automatic model???

Be interesting to see what they come out with this fall.

That sway-backed NC700JD is an UGLY looking thing.

Hope we don't see any more that look like THAT.

In the picture below and from the leaked photo mill, has anyone noticed one thing? It's still a GL1800 engine with some mods, basically the same engine with a new wrapper and electronic toys. But let's see what Honda presents on 10-24-2017.
