Custom Top for Stallion

I posted the pictures of the top thinking that it would help some of us with Stallions, after reading the negative comments, I was turned off from your negativity. Thanks for speaking up. My biggest concern on the tops, is how easy will it be for you and your rider to make entry into the Stallion or get out of it.

Your very correct in being concerned about getting in and out. That is tricky without a top. I do not think my wife could do it with a top on, and the Stallion is hers.

The guy that makes them doesn't eat as much as I do as he told me he was 5'10" at 160lbs, so he can bend over getting in and out a lot easlier than me and my 18 pack abs !!!! He has a good start at it though !! "Don't stop inventing new products" !!!!

Stallions are pretty cool and the wow factor is there..not so much with the top.

It really doesn't matter if anyone thinks it's ugly if the end user wants it...After all look at all the pacers and gremlins that sold back in the 70's

Well I purchased the Top and rode to Virginiia to pick it up and have it installed. Absolutely love it. First time I could hear my radio above 50 mph. Even smoked a few cigars on the return trip. Received nothing but compliments on the top. I planned on using it only in the rain, but am leaving it on as a sun shade for the summer. No problem to install or remove and no harder to enter or exit . I am having matching doors fabricated as well. Will try to post pictures. The brochure pictures did not do justice.
It is a great product, well designed and makes the stallion even more unique.

Glad to hear that you like your purchase, TC; that is always what counts! Looking forward to seeing the pictures.

well now that I've seen the idea of the convertible top for the Stallion....I can surely say, In my opinion , : I'd rather get wet.....:gah:that has to be the most butt ugly option for the Stallion I have seen yet....no thanks.....

I posted 2 pictures in my gallery. They are not the best , had to use a cell phone as camera photos file too large . I am very happy with my purchase. I am getting up there and not the most agile person but do not find it much harder to enter or exit. like I mentioned before love the fact it has made my radio useful. I previously could not hear it above 40 or 50 mpr. listened all the way home at 70 +. Top held up just fine. I think it looks great and so did the crowds at every stop. Had even more cell phone pictures taken than ever before as I passed by. for those who think it is butt ugly , have a nice day.

well maybe the top will grow on me in time....it don't look all that bad (butt ugly) as I mentioned before.....yes, everyone does have his or her opinion on this issue....not wanting to sound so negative, any update on the Stallion is all interesting....maybe not so good on some ideas....who care right?
Matter of a fact, that if I went with the negative opinions of my friends before i bought the Stallion.....I would not own one now......I LOVE MY STALLION>>>>>I think that most of us that own a Stallion....is making a statement ....WE ARE NOT LIKE THE REST>>>>and we dare to be different....see you on the road....ride safe....:wave4:

Please do not take offense to opinion comments about the top they are not directed to you or your decision. Many vendors and after market people watch this forum and they need to know what we think and feel about new products, before they spend their money tooling up.

I am glad you like it and that it serves you well, that is what really matters. I added speakers to the top dash, first thing that came to my mind as I saw them was my wife is going to hate this and they are Butt ugly. But you know what they function well and sound great, so I traded some looks for function. My wing has a nasty looking gel pad on the seat, but my Ugly Butt loves it, so I really do not care what it looks like.

I am sorry if I offended you.

Oddoman and Lunchbox,

No offense taken. I know a lot of time, thought and work went into designing and making this top and though it might not be appealing to all, I believe there was no need to put it down as "butt ugly". Maybe just not for me would have been more appropriate.

Where can I buy that nasty looking gel seat? The top did not improve my posterior.

Looking forward to meeting someday up on the road. Ride safe.

Happy Easter

is your top still available? I want to buy a Stallion if I can find a way to keep my wife dry. HELP!!!!! calll if can help. 601 209 3525 Thank you.

"want a top buy a car" yeh right. There are some trikers out there that a/ want to be different/original and some that want comfort. And perhaps some haven't read the post in this thread that suggests some riders have disabilities to.

My roof on my trike started with my wife having arthritis ( we got together after my purchase) So I set about designing a roof.

It had to look right. And the final product exceeded my hopes. If roofs on trikes are so bad how does that explain over 50,000 views of my youtube video?

www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXwh4z8d66o

I also cant get my head around why other trikers have to comment "against a concept". Tell you what-

Our trike roof is a one off. It has effective wind deflection. It has a heater from the radiator up front. My wife is the driest trike passenger in Australia and the warmest. Since we've had our roof in 2011 we've had short bursts on trikes without windscreens or roofs and I ain going back.

Yeh, you get the comments "you might as well have a car". doesn't phase us. See you freezing on a cold windy day. lol

A properly designed convertible top would be ideal for the Stallion
