Maggie Valley 2018 Registration & Info

It was a well coordinated and organized event put on by the local Vulcan Riders Association Chapter. We took over a good portion of the U. of Ohio Inn for most of a week. The city shut down a block of downtown the night before the rally started and with a PD escort, we put over 100 bikes in it. The dining and drinking were good and the mayor come back to the hotel to socialize with us. What a way to start off a great rally. Oh yeah, the Hillbilly Hotdogs were great too!

What is a Hillbilly Hotdog?

We stopped at HillBilly Hotdogs in W. Virginia a few years back when we were travelling, the place was awesome good.

On the left is a "Business Dog", deep fried weiner, hot sauce, mustard, onions, cole slaw, jalapenos, shredded cheese and fried spam. On the right is a"Taco Dog", jalapenos, nacho cheese, hot sauce, diced maters, salsa, shredded cheese and sour cream.

I am trying to decide if I should camp or stay in a hotel in Maggie valley for this event. If I camp ,I am not sure if I want to bring the toy hauler or motorcycle camper. I have to many choices.

We camp because we are there 3-4 days early. We stay just a block away at Hillbilly CG in a cargo trailer.

Just come and join our "front door" meetings!

You are more than welcome to join our traditional evening "front door" meetings; that way it doesn't make any difference where you lay your head!

Sara and I will be there Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday for the blessing of trikes & trikers, and I hate to say it, for the sale of our Ferrari yellow Toyota Corolla trike. Our finances are tight with us both being retired, and the black and red lines are getting too close for comfort. Plus, after many years of retirement, I have decided to go back into business, and it will take lots of the green stuff to pull it off. I tried to put our trike on TT's "For Sale" column, but the use of the column is being restricted to Trike Talk Gold members because of spammers. And unfortunately, the use of PM is also being restricted because if spam, so I can't be contacted.

If you or someone you know would like to own an eye catching trophy winning custom all-weather trike for a more reasonable price than the usual bike/trike combinations, come to Maggie Valley's Best Western; Sara & I will be staying out back with our vicious watch dog, our miniature Yorkie! The Corolla trike has had virtually all it's running gear replaced - including an expensive zero hour re-manufactured AT. Why did I go to that expense and replace some parts that were still serviceable? Because I wanted to enhance the trike's ride, handling, cost of operation, and long term dependability. I had no intention of ever selling the trike when I built it, and since I was an aircraft mechanic years ago, I knew what quality craftsmanship is and this trike shows it!

Be sure to catch Sara or me and get yourself and your trike (or bike) blessed!

Best regards, see ya at Maggie!

49er, sorry you all can't make it to Maggie Valley. Hope all is ok.

wow, just looked at the list of attendees. Looks like we are over 50 fun seeking folks.:clapping::clapping::clapping::clapping:

I will hit the road 1 week from now. Still time for Mother Nature to reconsider drying things out for us.:Shrug:

Weather has improved during the first part of the week, looking sloppy starting Thursday, let us hope it gets better. We have time for the Weather Gods to favorably change the outlook.

I'm pains me, literally, to announce that I need to cancel.

I'm having a lot of dental work done over the next three weeks.

Awww, Mike. I was looking forward to seeing you again and you, me and Dave having some Bulleit together while we chat.

Hope and pray all goes well with your dental work! Never fun stuff!

Sara & I are looking forward to a great time in Maggie again this year!

DblTrbl, see what you started for 2018!

Sara and I are looking forward to seeing everyone again! (It's been a year, to be exact!)

As usual, the Thunder in the Smokies event starts Friday in Maggie, the day we leave!. Sara and I have been there a couple of times, and always enjoyed it! I purchased a really nice high-quality leather jacket there one year for $50 that would have sold for many times that elsewhere. There are usually lots of jewelry retailers also. https://handlebarcorral.com/?utm_so...ntains!&utm_term= CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE

Safe travels to all who will be making their way to Maggie in a week or so!

Yea, I was too.

We've been looking forward to this all year.

I started having problems a little over a week ago and had hoped to be done before labor day.

What was going to be root canals is now going to be extractions. :AGGHH:

The Bulleit has helped a lot tho. Take a shot, hold it on the tooth, swallow, repeat. etc.

Yeah, we have been looking forward to this year since we got home last year and seeing everyone again.

Make sure you have plenty of Bulleit for after they pull the teeth (for the pain ;)).

Dave and I talked. He said he may PM you about some ride routes since you are more familiar with the roads around the area there.
