I thought I would make this my first post here. I have been looking around here for a couple of weeks now, but joined today. My wife and I ride a 2005 Road King. We went down about three years ago way out in west Texas, and riding has been getting harder for both of us, nerves I guess.

We went to the Lone Star Rally this year and spent 6 hours on the bike in the Rain and the wind on our way to Galveston. So we have started talking about a Trike conversion. Since I'm an acountant, I spending some time looking at the numbers, they are a little higher than I thought they would be, but if it gets us on the bike more then it will be worth it.

Right now we are looking at a Motor Trike IRS set up. So if you have any comments let them flow. Thanks
Hi Brad. Welcome to TrikeTalk! MotorTrike makes an excellent kit! If you haven't already found it as you explored the site, take some time to read the thread at the link below; it will give you some great pointers as new trikers:
http://www.triketalk.com/forum/gener...post-here.html

Take time to get used to steering instead of leaning in corners, but about the time you reach 400 - 500 miles of trike time, you will discover that you are having more fun than anyone should get away with, and you'll be wondering why you took so long to go to three wheels! LOL!

WELCOME to TRIKE TALK.....Yep, You are headed in the right direction, and You have definetly found the right Forum.....if You do the Trike Conversion, You'll be wonderin' "Why did We wait so long to do it"....Hope to see You on the Road on 3 in the future.....:wtg:

So glad to have one more from Texas aboard! We're delighted that you've found our Forum - please be sure to check out the Trike Owners International thread, too; there's a Texas chapter just for us, with more information coming out often. It would be great if you'd consider joining (we're already a good-sized group, but everything in Texas is bigger, right??). It's free, with many benefits and every single member rides a trike. How great is that!! Again, welcome!

Welcome aboard. Most of the conversions are great products.

Even though they are a little ways away at least Motor Trike is with in easy driving distance. Jeff and Diane Vey (Company Owners) are good people. Call and setup a visit and see how they are built. You can even have your Road King converted right there in Troop before your very eyes. Thats some big pluses.
