Does anyone know what brake s are used on a 2002 Lehman Monarch ll. I was told by a GoldWing dealer they use a Mustang ll rear end. But how do you know what rear brake shoes, U-joint, axle seal when you buy parts. Dealer told me they go to Auto parts store, but reluctant to tell me any more info. Thanks

Differential should be from 76 Ford Pinto, Bobcat- 6.75" diff. Raybestos 474R shoes. It took me hours of research to come up with part numbers for the rear end parts on my 01 Monarch II, but these 474R shoes worked. Bearings & seals for the Ford 6.75" diff should also work.

Would the rest brakes in this thread be the same for the 03 monarch 2?

You first have to be sure that you have a Monarch II and not a Monarch (I).

People have been cutting and pasting Monarch (I) conversions from one bike to another, so you must identify what you have and not what you think you have.:cxtv:

Most Monarch (I) were equipped with drum brakes, some Monarch (I) conversions were equipped with (optional) disc brakes.

Two different disc brake systems were used on those Monarch (I) conversions (TBM & Wilwood).

The Monarch II (pre 2012) was equipped with the second system (Wilwood).
