I had my Toe-Pac E-Trike painted to match my 1993 GL 1500. They had to take it apart to sand & paint. I think they tighten the bolts just a little to tight as where it's bolted to the trike frame and the plastic was starting to crack. To solve that I installed on both sides a 1/8 thick 2 inch by 18 inch polished diamond plate over the plastic. It is working and doesn't look too bad.

Securing items on to plastic/fiberglass requires using Ny-Locks and fender washers.

They were on there but I think the painter didn't install them properly, as the cracks were getting larger, but this works as I have 400 miles on the new fix. Thanks for your response.
