I'm thinking of selling my current trike and going over to a Can-Am F3.

I see that the radio system can be used for Navigation via a cell phone. I'm familar with Apple CarPlay. Does the Can Am radio work like that? Does the map show on the radio screen? Or is it verbal only?

INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM: Enhance your ride thanks to the new twin 4.3 in. full color LCD display with BRP Connect allowing the integration of vehicle-optimized smartphone apps. Get directions, check the weather, share experiences with your community and listen to your favorite music on the BRP Audio Premium 6-speaker sound system. All this technology is easy to access while maintaining your hands on the handlebar with to the new intuitive joystick.

Before I shell out a grand on the ZUMO and mount ............

Looking at this version in dark trim.

Ken, I was thinking about you recently. When I first bought my Freewheeler I read and enjoyed your informative posts.

WOW! Thank you! I’m glad I was able to be of some help!

Ken, you were and always will be family to us. I enjoyed meeting you when you came down to pick up that GL1800 Motor Trike I picked up for you. I follow you on Facebook and enjoy your hunting and fishing posts and your camping and wood working posts, but I also do miss your presence here. You seem to be enjoying retirement.

I certainly cherish the friendships that I made from this site. It’s the only forum that I bother visiting at all ( I still stop by and read from time to time). I still refer people here that ask about trikes. Only place I know that someone will get good info on any kind of trike.

BTW Randy, I hope to get down your way one of these winters and visit with you again. Enjoyed that.

Wish I could help with the F3 radio/navigation question but my wife just got hers and is still learning. So far just getting music working she is seeing some odd things happen but that is Bluetooth. We aren't sure if nav uses Bluetooth or USB or both. There is an app called Sygic that she is looking at and using but just trying to understand how it works with her car right now. It looks like we might have to use the USB up by the windshield but just haven't got that far yet. There is very poor documentation in this whole area so it's a trial and error sort of thing right now for us. Maybe someone else has got further. If we ever get successful we'll let you know but it will be slow in coming if we can.

I've been watching some youtube videos. Looks like simple APP downloads take care of my question..

Okay, do you have a link to one that actually shows what to do that really works or are they just suggesting a certain way SHOULD work?:Shrug::Shrug:

I did not find one that walked one through the process. Just that it’s done using an app on the phone. I almost certain that it is done by plugging the phone into the system.

I just downloaded Genesis and it apparently isn't free because it says I'm in a trial. Do you know what the actual cost is for this app?:Shrug::Shrug: If it's a monthly thing I'll be going Garmin but if it's a one time purchase I might consider going that route instead. I figured their harping about Bluetooth had a catch.

2nd video said something about it being $49. If that is one and done, that is fine with me. If It's annually or every time you get a new phone not so fine.

My FLRT is at a local independent bike shop on consignment. I'm finding 2018's marked down to $21,000 with the BRP end of year rebates. Oddly enough BRP shows the same thing in a 2019 MSRP of $24,499. MSRP of the something in an 2018 is $28,399. Makes no sense to me.

Because of the lower price one the new Rykers BRP also lowered the price of the 2019.When you pick up your new F3 make sure that they download the latest software up grade for your radio.

Very nice looking machine, this the the F3 you're thinking of buying?

Well, I'll say it again, it sure is a beauty, I was hung up on the RTL, but I've changed my mind. Good pick. I notice that Spyder is doing OEM recurve wind screen. Very cool.

I’ve held off on replacing the windshield because of the recurve. It just might be okay for me. Same thing with the saddle.

The windshield was too low for us. We had to go with a 15 inch. And we aren't what I'd call tall at 5' 10" to 5' 11". We first thought the stock would work too and it does but the taller screen is much better.
