Photos of new rake kit on 2018 Triglide

Have taken some pics of the rake kit from Papa Zook on the tri glide and hopefully you will see the difference, however it may be hard to tell as I don't really have any before pics in the same profile.

This first two image shows how far from the mud guard to the oil cooler. The next image has my hubby's bike in the back ground. This image will be one of the distance on my husbands street glide which is the same front end as my trike. You will see that the trike has a lot more distance now than it used to.

This one is my husbands street glide which shows how little space between the mudguard and the oil cooler which was what my trike was like.

This is just an overall image of the trike now. Hope you can see the that it is raked

Just for those wanting to know how it handles and does it feel too light in the front end at speed, my hubby said he had it up to 180kmph and it didn't feel too light in the steering. I told him off for taking my baby that fast, she hasn't done that speed before.

When he first rode the trike he wasn't keen, but after the rake kit he decided it is quite awesome to ride now.

Cheers- Deb

If you weren't specifically looking to see if it was raked, not sure you'd notice it. But, if you are ... it's fairly obvious the rake has been installed. Having said that, I think the performance is what's important.

Personally, I think your husband did you a favor testing your baby to the limit to see that it was safe for you ... so don't be too hard on him ... :D ... besides ... that's how all guys test stuff.

Thanks for the nice photos. Definitely noticeable when looking at the lower fender position. The forks also appear to have a new position relative to the steering stabilizer. Glad you're enjoying the new performance benefits. Looks good and good looking Tri Glide too.

Good job Debra . . . and nice looking '18 TG. Wonder why I like it.

Thanks for the photo's and report!

I've been wanting to do this to my TG for awhile. Just talked to Zook yesterday again about it. Getting close to scheduling it in, and getting it done!

Great looking ride, enjoy it!

Kevin

Thanks for the great review and pictures Deb, the rake kit does make a world of difference and are stable at any speed. Your husband put it through its paces, had it stretched out at 180 kilometers per hour....had to convert it to mph and that equals 112 miles per hour. Impressive!

We've talked about this for a while now (like a couple of years or so?) ;)

I'm happy to see you going for it Kevin. As much as you ride you're gonna love it.

I wasn’t really too hard on him. He has been riding bikes for 50 years and is awesome rider. Trust him with both my Harley’s.

Thanks for all your help with it. If I ever buy another trike down the track that’s one of the first things I will be doing on it. Love it more than before and I loved it then.

That is one good looking trike! I know you will like the rake. If she rides as good as she looks, you've got a winner.

If I'm not mistaken, I thought the salesman mention that the 2019's came with 3deg more rake than previous years.

I have no clue what the deg rake was or what it is now. This is my first trike so I've nothing to compare it to. But I would like to know the deg.

Ride Safe.................
