Hello, new to this site. LLive in Central Florida north of Orlando. Ride a 2010 Harley Ultra Limited. I am retired and considering a trike. The wife thinks at our age we should go from 2 wheels to 3 wheels, sort of like in reverse when you were a kid and went from 3 to 2 wheels.:D:D

WELCOME DAVE! You have joined THE trike forum.Great folks and info.I had my 90 gold wing triked about a year and a half ago and do not regret it one bit.You mite also want to join TOI the riding group.RIDE SAFE

Your wife is right on this one. Listen to her and when its all done she can have the credit for something you'll both enjoy and be safe and comfortable about driving.... I just triked my v rod and its great. I had to sell my moto guzzi because it was too much for me to handle, very top heavy with 6 gallons of fuel in the tank. I went with a frankenstein conversion because I like the minimal look with out the luggage carriers stuff. Motor Trike was second chose and mystery independent tilt if money was no problem. lots of good info here best advice is ride before deciding. good luck and keep riding. I do and I'm 69 years young. curley

Welcome aboard Dave. Glad you joined us. I went to 3 wheels 2 years ago. Have not looked back. May I suggest with Daytona Bike week coming up shortly you get over to the race track and sign up for a TRI-GLIDE demo ride. Also look around there maybe a other 3 wheel demos available. It just might help in your decision.

dave, welcome to one of the most informative trike sites on the internet. I live in ohio but winter in sunny florida. PSL area. My wife loves riding on the trike,,,,, she hated two wheels.

Welcome Dave! If and when you go to three wheels you are going to love it! It's nothing to do with getting old.... it's everything about stability and comfort and still being out in the wind :D

I went 3 11 years ago and still enjoy every min . I still have a few 2 wheelers but I always go back to the trike for the long rides and the 2 up riding. After u do it you ar going to wish you did it along time ago.

Welcome Dave,
We all love to see new members, we are like a big happy family. This will really grow on you... :wave4:

:wave4: Welcome to Trike Talk Dave! You will never regret going to 3 wheels, in fact after about 500 miles you will ask yourself why didn't I do this years ago???? :Trike1:

Welcome. and pull the trigger on one!! I did as you can see I opted for the motor trike (Gladiator independent kit) were about the same age and I am glade I did it... Go for it and enjoy....

Welcome from West Virginia...... I rode 2 wheels for nearly 40 years, bought my tri glidetwo years ago and actually DO wonder why I didn't do this earlier.

welcome aboard mate. The trike we have,we seen one like it in Daytona Fl. Jan. 09. Liked it so much , we came home & ordered one from Vermont ,the closes dealer to us , was Wins Trikes & Bikes. We have had a ball so far , & I am sure yous will too. Ride safe, & have fun .

:GL1800:Welcome Dave, we are practicaly neighbors. I retired to Ormond Beach. Florida three years ago coming in from the Boston area (where they have lots of snow LOL). We have learned a Trike is the way to go. About 80% safer than two wheels although you will initially miss the "leaning" on the curves. Trikes put the fun back in riding when your older, however, I do know many riders in their 40's and up (you will meet some of them in this forum).
We have an '08 Gold Wing that we bought new and Triked right away. Absolutely love it!! If you already have a decent bike, consider triking it and save a few bucks. Continue to use the forum and learn from it as I have ( a neat group of caring people/riders). You may also find yourself in a contributing mode also with advice from your personal experiences.

Stop by Daytona Beach for Bike Week in early March to check out the Trike dealers...:Bug2:

I did it yesterday, delivery today. I traded my Ultra Limited, which I loved, for a 2011 Tri-Glide. Wife is happier,:):Excited:

I have to get use to turning it like a car:AGGHH: I think we will like it.

CONGRATS and we all know if the wife is happy, things are better. But really you will love it. Please give yourself a few hundred miles to get used to the new riding control. I know you will say why did I wait so long.
