Ride with My Wife & Lola.

Over 3500 miles so far , & now headed back . Spending 4 days in the Black Hills doing all the rides here. Have done many Nat'l Parks from Dodge City (where we hooked up with Lola ) All the way to southern Nv, where we got on US 93, & headed North for Glacier Nat'l Park. We got as far as Missoula,Mt. some locals from Kalispell, informed us the road across Glacier Had just opened & was in terrible shape. So we decided to head east for the Black Hills & are now spending 4 days riding all the rides including a couple the locals know. We will head out on Mon & do the Badlands with Lola & then the night in Valentine,Ne.

We will part company there the next morning .Lola will head for Tx & we will head for Ohio. Lola is a blast & we have had a lot of fun together. All that is missing is Jr. :gah:. God willing & the creeks don't rise, we will be seeing all our friends in Kerrville.

Bill and Janiene graciously arranged our schedule so that we could meet up with a couple living in Rapid City that I have been friends with for many years. They won't be retired for a few years so we had to meet them when they were both available.

I have learned a lot of things about being on the road for 3 weeks from them. They are experienced long distance riders so they helped me with a list of things I needed to bring without over doing it. Sure makes things a lot easier when I have to load up and unload. I have had adequate gear for the cold in the mountains and the heat yesterday.



Bill knows a lot of neat side trips and fun roads that are not tourist spots that has made this trip really special.

Well this was our last day with Lola. We took her through the Badlands Loop in SD. WE part company tomorrow morning & will miss her laugh & humor. We had a lot of fun on this trip. Rode 9 states & numerous State & Natl. Parks also every ride in the Black Hills. 4 more states till we get home to Ohio. See ya again in Kerrville Lola. Till then ride safe.

5,471 miles in 3 weeks, what a ride! I arrived home at about 2PM yesterday.

Bill and Janiene showed me places I had never heard of in addition to the popular tourist destinations. I really enjoyed getting up each morning knowing that I would be having coffee and breakfast with them while they laid out the plans for the day. It was like being on a cruise, but 1,000 times more fun.

I spent the first 3 nights at my younger brother's home in OKC, then the last night in Altus, OK where I visited my older brother's grave at the veteran's cemetery. My trip was a full circle of fun and family.

Well, we did it again..... Met up with Lola in Kansas & did a ride down through Palo Duro Canyon to get to the Hill Country gathering. We have a great time riding with Lola, & celebrated her birthday in Sweetwater Tx . Now we need to figure where to go next year. We are still making our way home to Ohio. Stopping in Ar for 4 days so Janiene can visit her sister.
