A question for you Roadsmith guys. Adjustable pre load system, or the AccuRide for a 2018 Goldwing tour? Is the extra $500 worth it, plus the added compressor that could break down, or is the system that works with the onboard Wing system good enough? Thanks.

I opted for the Adjustable pre load. With it you can adjust the the suspension for the type of riding you are doing and the load on the trike. Set it lite for comfort or increase it for more sport riding or trailer towing. Also if you get the ajustable pre load ask if the installer can change out the factory hose on the pump for a steel braded line and bled the system. It's much easier before the trike body is put on.

I had the accru- ride installed and to be truthful with you. I STILL HAVE NO IDEA WHETHER OR NOT IT IS EVEN THERE.....I have been asking my builder for over a season and a half to show me if it does even work......I rode my bike up to him the beginning of the season 120 miles one way, and he charged me $90.00 to say it's there and I still have no idea if it really is.. I never heard it ever start up.....Don't waste your money:blush::mad::(

My builder makes Roadsmith look bad, it's a shame, because I love the trike, BUT shaky (untruthful) builder's makes it had to believe..............

Ronnie

TOO the builder ()you know who you are, send me back my $90.00 or I will bad mouth your company forever

Good one Ronnie, I contemplated the AccuRide, in the end decided against the additional expense for some of the same reasons you mentioned. How would I really know it was there, and just another thing to break. When I first got the RS, the fuel pump failed, back to the Trike Shop in Daytona Beach for a day to replace it, however, it was under warranty and that was good. Now that original Trike Shop is closed, and I can't get RS in Bear Lake to tell me where the nearest Trike Shop is. I've sent a couple emails with no response, so I gave up on that.

Hello- All-out Power Sports is still a Roadsmith Dealer and can handle any of your needs. If you want to see if there is a dealer that is closer, go to the Roadsmith website and click on Dealer network and make your choice. I would be happy to answer any of your questions if you want to PM me. Thanks Dick

Thanks Dick, I thought the guy that worked in the old shop moved next door to All Out Power Sports. If I'm not dreaming, I called them a month or so ago and was told he wasn't there any more. Are you sure? Hope you are enjoying your retirement in beautiful Daytona Beach.

Hello Bill- Yes, Dan does not work there anymore. There is a Top Notch mechanic named John that does all the installs. He was an instructor a Wyotec College teaching Motorcycle Mechanics until they closed. John can help you with all your needs. I am also available to help even thou I am RETIRED AND LOVING IT. Thanks Dick KEEP-ON-TRIKEN

Thanks much Dick, good to hear you are still involved, even though you are officially retired. I'll put your msg in my file so I know about Dan, and the new guy, John. Ole Dan was on top of his game, so when the guy on the other end of the phone said Dan was done, retired, or whatever, I did not question him further. So maybe your information will help some other RS trikers in the area. I did not know, and there have to be others out here that don't.

Bill
