IRS for TG

Interesting . . . but I'll pass for that price and oh yeah voided warranty and most likely ESP.

Been thinking about this since it was first posted ...

1) wouldn't do this on a Tri with a warrantee

2) if I'm not doing a Tri with out a warrantee, why wouldn't I just convert an Ultra, guessing it would be cheaper

3) the big advantage IMHO to a tri or a can am for that matter ... factory products, all repair parts in one place and no problem getting a dealer to work on them

So ... IMHO ... in my case, I'd be better off selling my tri, buying a donor Ultra (these are getting to be a dime a dozen) or better yet, a Road Glide and converting it with an independent suspension. Just food for thought ... :D

Not trying to start an argument. I plan to check on the Mystery unit. They way I read it you replace the rear system on a Tri Glide with the IRS unit while retaining the stock HD body leaving an OE look and in my opinion higher quality paint work.

Good Point ... HD does do paint well.

Before I spent $8,500 for IRS on my TG, I would consider selling it and doing what Alan said. I'm guessing there are some pretty nice Ultra's out there for $9,000 to $11,000 that have been kept in the garage and waxed for most of their short life. Convert one of those babies and you might have a much nicer ride for a ton less money!

Not just a road glide a CVO Roadglide that would be a real head snapper just sayin... Fred

I'd consider doing it if the handling and ride are everything they claim it to be. I've got my 2014 setup just about the way I want it and with a few motor mods and an improved suspension it would be better than buying new and starting over with mods.

Agreed. Some say it's like night and day and others say difference is negligible. Lots of $ to spend not knowing if its worth it.

Of course you could always rent one for a week or two to see if it's all that it's cracked up to be before plunking down all that money.
