For the people that have the dk tank lift what are you using, the 1.5” with deluxe option?, also going to order the floorboard extenders at the same time. Just wanted to get a couple of opinions before I order them. Thanks everyone

2" for us

We went 2" on old shiney and the air deflectors as well. I switched out the bars in 2014 and when I raised the tank I wasn't sure they would fit with the tank lift. But they Did. Raise the tank and get the air deflectors you will be glad you did. Check out the first two pictures look at all the flying critters on the lowers and notice very very few on the Tank. ride safe Fred

All good suggestions above. The only thing I would suggest is to make sure you will have the clearance from you bars to your tank. Swing your bars all the way to left and right and measure the space between the tank and bars, before you buy. Will save you some headaches down the road. If you already thought about this, then just ignore.

I put Kevin's 1.5" tank lift (front only) and deflectors on my 16 and a couple months ago added it to my 19. I don't think it makes a huge difference in buffeting but it does reduce it some. Even though I have no way of measuring my exact engine temps I am confident it helps lower them.

It did throw my gas gauge off a little bit on the 19, not so much on the 16. Doesn't matter much though because even on long runs I generally hunt gas every 125 or 130 miles anyway.Well worth the money IMHO.

I'm a little late to this post...been off the forum for a week or so.

Appreciate you looking at our parts, please feel free to email or call with any questions.

I put the deflectors on my 2011 TG, but not the tank lift and I did noticed a difference in the air flow over the tank. When I got my 2016 I ordered the 1.5 deluxe tank lift along with the new deflectors to go with the tank lift. They definitely make a difference in the amount of air over the tank and instead deflect the air down toward the cylinders. I would go with both the tank lift in which ever height will work for you but also do the deluxe lift. Then as long as your at it you should also do the deflectors. They really compliment the tank lift.
