Freewheeler Steering vs Tri Glide Steering

Howdy Pops, well speaking as a prior freewheeler owner and having test ridden the Tri as well I found the FLRT to be a bit more nimble and "steering" effort feeling a little lighter... However the quality of the ride on the Tri was better in my opinion.

Picked the freewheeler due to cost and I was looking for a sportier ride. My prior scoots up to that point were mainly sportster's... so this was a upgrade in ride for me :D

:wave4:

My friend needs to move to 3 wheels. I'm just trying to determine which stock trike (without mods) would be easier for him to steer, as he has some early onset shoulder issues.

I'm 76 and I've never found any problem with the TG's steering and I've ridden the Dragon many times. Of course I go to the gym every other day which helps with upper body strength. To answer your question, the Freewheeler does have lighter steering. Maybe I'll switch when I'm 100, but right now I want the whole ball of wax, especially the infotainment unit - can't live without my tunes. :)

I put a set of Freewheeler wheels on my Tri Glide and it did seem to decrease steering force by a little, but i have only had a chance to ride it twice since installing them.
