Cut -N- Shoot

Hery gang, I just got done reading some press on Randy's trike shop .. granted it is on his web site, but it's a kewl article. If you want to read it, go to:

Click on Cut-N-Shoot to read the article. Good read ... I never noticed it before ... so thought I'd pass it along.

Thanks Al.. the article was written by Robert Fila of Thunder Press Magazine and it was a nice surprise when I got a call from them requesting a visit to learn more about trikes, how they are built, features, options, etc. The post on my site is not the article, but a link to the article on their digital magazine page. When Robert came to takes pics and interview me, he told me that Champion/Lehman was an advertiser in their magazine and that they had reccomended Robert contact us, which was a real blessing.

The story was in the May 2018 issue of the paper magazine (and digital) which aparrently goes out to every Harley dealer in the USA. The bonus was the teaser picture of Ole Paw-Paw and a CVO Ultra Lehman I was just finishing on the cover "A look behind the curtain".

I guess it caught the eye of trike prospects because we got several sales from that article, a couple from out of state, and one recent sale from someone who somehow just found that article and called us to convert their CVO Ultra. They say print ads are dying but Thunder Press seems to have a giant reach via their Harley dealers.

I remember seeing that in Thunder Press @ my local dealer waiting room;)

As far as I know thats the only place they are delivered to Jack. Every call I have gotten is from someone who daid they saw it at their Harley shop waiting room and took a copy home with them and the calls are from all over the country. The last two we converted that came from that article were from New Mexico and Lousianna customers. I have always heard that if you are ever lucky enough to make a major M/C magazine cover, you've struck gold and its true. It would not have happened without Champion/Lehman's recommendation.

I knew I should have brought that copy home:p When people ask me about trike conversions I direct them to your web page to have a look see;)

This is another '15 CVO Ultra Lehman we just did for our Lousianna customer. Same year, make, model and kit as the Thunder Press bike, but the other CVO color option of Carbon Dust/Charcole Slate VS Gold Rush/Carbon Dust. The marbled dark/light teal graphics are applied with two natural sponges in different sizes and is extremely difficult to get a perfect color and pattern match, but our painter is one of the best in the country at matching the factory CVO paint jobs.

I could do a build thread on this one, have dozens of before, during, paint, graphics, after pics if anyone is interested in seeing how they go together.

I do too and I don't even have a trike yet. Randy just offered to work with me a few years ago and that was good enough for me.:clapping::clapping::clapping:

Word of mouth is the best advertisement and can cost the least or the most depending on quality of work. Unfortunately bad reviews travel much faster than good. While I had my landscape business I never advertised except for my first and only ad. After that I kept busy by word of mouth to the point of too many jobs. I never turned one down but my waiting list got longer and longer. Word of mouth is the best so you are doing it right Randy.:clapping::clapping::clapping:

I enjoyed that article, very good and very detailed on what you do. I thought about doing my road king one time but decided not to, just went ahead and bought a harley triglide.

All for now Trampas
