Skinwalker Ranch

Okay, I decided to watch the show (The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch) on History last nigh because it's close to home (the ranch, not the show ... :D), well at least just a state over. The ranch has a history of "Alien or UFO stuff" lots of Paranormal stuff, and a whole bunch of Native American Folklore and Curses.

I had no idea where in Utah it is. I do now. They showed the 500 or so acres on a map. When the Band of Brothers used to go to Mont Pelier (-5sp?), Idaho for our "ride", we rode right passed it's eastern boarder going up 40 from Vernal, Ut. through Flaming Gorge.

Nothing weird ever happened to us, but, we aren't cattle (well I might be confused for a cow), we rode through pretty quick, always in daylight and we never dug. :AGGHH:

But I will tell ya, that is some really remote area in the North East corner of Utah. On one of trips was the only time I ever had to use the spare fuel I carry.

The ride leader got us a little lost (I knew where we were, because of GPS, but, it's fun to let the leader figure it out and the group always lets the leader flounder to a point). We went about 45 miles out of our way before he figured it out, or about 90 miles round trip. One of the guys has a sportster 1200 with the 2.2 gallon peanut tank. He ran out of gas about 10 miles from the town we made the wrong turn in. We sent the leader into town to find gas, after he left, I gave the guy 2 gallons and we got into town just as the leader was coming back with gas ... LOL ... ahh ... good times. He still hears about that every time we "plan a ride".

RICK!!!!

Where you been? Haven’t seen you post since you announced you were going up north to visit family last fall! Hope all is well with you and yours.

Edit: Oh...just saw your post in Breakfast Club today....

I watched Skinwalker Ranch last night...I thought it worth tuning in to the next episode to see if its worth putting on the “schedule”. They did show some actual videos taken at the ranch that were intriguing for the area. Time will tell...

Saturday night "Ancient Aliens" had a preview of the "stuff" that has happened there ... every now and then we hear stuff about it here from local press ... Like when the current owner bought it, there was some press about him gonna do some followup to the guy before him.

I forget what the connection was, but, there was some connection between the current owner and the "NITS" group that owned it before. The local press was kind of excited that the new owner would pick up the investigation and maybe be more transparent with findings.

I suspect that since History Channel is involved now, the current owner is looking for help funding his investigation. I don't care how rich you are, funding all those people, all the tech, can run into big Bucks. I suspect he's feeling some liability (if only medical bills) for some of the stuff that's happened since he bought it in 2016, Maybe he's willing to get more transparent for some help funding this.

It was clear in last nights show the owner is NOT excited to poke the bear and dig. The guy that was brought new into the gang is from "Ancient Aliens", I believe, and is pretty aggressive. I loved the look on their faces when he said, "we need to dig".

Another observation I made was that the "crew" that has been part of the initial investigation is keeping what they know, or at least what they believe very close to the vest.

If nothing else, there is around 200 years of weird stuff going on there and it will be a good summer replacement for "The Curse of Oak Island" and "Project Blue Book" (which isn't one of my favorites).

I'll continue to watch it, at least until they get wonky like "Ancient Aliens" ... LOL ... the only reason I watch that show is to see what they try to cram into the "Alien Basket".

Hi Carla & Alan:

Yeah had too many irons in the fire at one time and needed to focus on 1 project at a time.

Then there was family issues we have at one time or another.

But things are cool and we made a lot of progress on our projects.

A lot has gone by and an a lot has happened since then.

I was on another site and they switched over to a New format and I had issue's with that also.

I had to get some help from the guys that started it all :).

Getting back to " SKIN-WALKER RANCH'.

I've been interested in this stuff for over 45 yrs .

So far this show has some promise to it.

They guy that owns Skin Walker is a Billionaire and can afford to deal with this stuff going on.

He bought it from Jeff B who wouldn't say what they found out on the Ranch for years

This guy Knows Jeff and are friends.

Jeff is now try to get back to the Moon an to Mars along with 50 other people lol

I was in grade school and we had to order a book from some named reader School reader or something. Then make a book report .:(

So I ordered "PROJECT BLUE BOOK and read it all night after school :)

My dad took us to the drive inn movie to see the 1st WAR OF THE WORLDS.

Scared the crap out of me and I think I slept with my eyes open all night.

So I will be watching this to see what happens next .

I'm going to try and get on in the mornings now since were all damn near locked down.

Talk more later......See you all on the BREAKFAST CLUB :)

Rick

Somehow, I got the mapping thing wrong ... tis why I have GPS ... I'm an engineer, not a navigator ... LOL

Anyway, it's just south of Fort Duchesne, near Rosevelt, Ut. I used to go to bowling tournaments in Rosevelt. Mom and I would go for the Saturday/Sunday two day tournaments every year. Couple of times we toured Fort Duchesne for something to do near Rosevelt. Still in a pretty remote area that I wouldn't want to visit at night. :AGGHH:

Seems to be a lot of secrecy with the security & armed guards. Maybe future shows will enlighten us. You know they are going to dig-big mistake!

American pickers did a pick some years ago down the road from me....And as they pull up to the pick theres piles of snow on the driveway and piled along the building...And as the get out of their vehicle Mike and Frank are wearing heavy winter coats.

And also while they are walking inside the building.....They were looking at a Cadillac and they walked out side to decide if they wanted to buy it.....And the camera was on them while they were talking as to buy it or not they were dressed in just shirts and no coats, And the trees behind them were in full bloom and no snow anywhere ....Then they walk back in and now there in winter coats again...They make the deal.....And as they drive away the trees are leafless and mounds of snow on the driveway..

How many times they go on what they call a cold call.....And introduce them shelf at the picks door and the camera man is in the house already...:xzqxz:....

I don’t have issues with how the show was put together I just enjoy seeing the stuff and it is interesting to me to see what they find and hear some of the history behind it. I remember seeing some of it at my grandparents’ old farm or my great aunt/uncle’s homes as a child..as well, having some of it myself growing up.

I shiver to think of the money we threw into the garbage because the item was worn out and no use to us anymore...now its a valued “collectable”.

Also amazes me that people have collected so much of this stuff over the years. I lived paycheck to paycheck most of my life...where did WORKING people get the money to run around buying old stuff they didn’t actually need only to set it on a shelf or throw it in a pile and still provide the necessities of the moment?

But we digress... now back to Skinwalker Ranch.... DRill BABY, DRill !!!:D

Unlike Oak Island ... this place is 500 or so acres ... figuring out where to drill might be a bit of a challenge ... although ... it seems the Skinwalker don't care where ya dig ... just the thought of digging upsets his/her apple cart ... :AGGHH:

Eventually, I foresee a show about all the stuff my other has packed into three 12' x 8' storage sheds. Clothes, toys, etc All from our kids, grand kids and now, their kids ............... :gah:

LOL ... I've thought about calling them to "do my garage ... but, then withdrawal rears it's ugly head and I just can't let any of it go. :AGGHH:
