I'm a new member and very new to all this VW stuff.
I just bought a VW trike with rear disk brakes. The previous owner didn't know much about them. He thinks the conversion kit was bought out of Hot VW's magazine and that the brake pads might be Subaru. I don't know what kind of pads to buy when I need them. Any Ideas out there?

Welcome wics51!Sorry I am no help with your ousetion, but sure someone here will have some input.Great folks and info here.RIDE SAFE

99% of the time the disk brake conversion for VWs use the same pad as on the front disk brakes of a Karmann Ghia. Take one of your pads with you and ask a set of brake pads for the front of a 1972 VW Ghia and I'll bet you find what you need. If not, post again and I will get you a specific part number.

Welcome to Trike Talk wics51: Can't help with your brake question I'm still useing drum brakes on mine, would love to convert them but not in the buget at the moment...But welcome from Oklahoma.

Wics51 is the trike homebuilt or a kit would help to know, if you pm me a photo of the calipers I should be able to tell you ,pretty much on the spot.
