Park in Gear

Harry, I always park a motorcycle of any kind in gear. DK why you won't park a Gold Wing in gear.

The DCT is a form of automatic. I'd consult the owners manual about parking it in gear. I am not sure what safeties the DCT has in regards to starting and parking. I did a test ride on a DCT, but, I don't remember a "Park" position. I do remember when at a light or other stop, I could push the bike forward or back while the engine was idling. So, not sure what the advantage would be.

Parking in gear

I don't know about everyone else's 2018/2019 Goldwing DCT, but mine shifts to neutral when shut down. You can verify this by turning it back on and it indicates N. Hence, there is a need for a parking brake.
