From the BRC, we all learn for 2-wheelers emergency swerving. Push left, then push right (or vice versa).

For trikes, of course, they do not lean, but in terms of stability, has anyone had experiences good or bad with emergency swerves?

Can this safely be done w/ a trike?

You steer a trike in the direction you want it to go.......There isn't any ''Counter-Steering'' with a trike like there is on a bike.....And in over 12 years on street trikes I've had many emergency swerves....And so far to date I'm still here and without any damage to me or the trike ...Underwear checks sometimes...And twice it hastened my 30 day time change schedule on my underwear.... :D....

Have you looked at finding a trike safety course in your area? As with a 2-wheeler course they provide valuable experience and information.

Great suggestion and yes, registered last week with my son on for 10/24. all Can am's, though. Wish they had a little few of everything. :)

looking forward to it. Should be fun.

funny. I know the feeling on 2 wheels, for sure.

good to hear, though. I imagined a quick swerve where one back tire floats or threatens a capsize. Your comment makes me feel better about it. thanks.

The Can-Am..[Spyder] was the first new street trike i ever owned 2008...You'll do good, Just don't do the death grip on the handle bars...They have power steering [DPS] So a light touch is all that is needed...ThumbUp....

Don't make the common mistake of confusing ATC'S With Street Trikes....ATC's will flip in a heartbeat on road surfaces like black top and asphalt...Street trikes will not....

That said if you try hard enough you can even flip a tank....

Early on in my trike career, I was on I 70 doing 75 mph and playing with the Power Vision. I looked up and was heading towards the Colorado River, instinct took over and the trike went into a short slide (drift), but never felt like it was gonna tip over. Of course, I needed new underwear afterwards.

Trikes are incredibly stable.

You will enjoy the course. Just a reminder...to use a very light hand on the throttle and the steering of the Spyder for a few minutes until you get the feel of it. The 2020 Spyder RT is a nice vehicle.
