Born and raised in Alabama, ROLL TIDE moved to TX for the second time in 2009 and this will be our hang up the spurs location.

I'm Jim;

My wife and I love riding 2 up and want to continue. My knees are giving out from catching about 500,000 pitches from my boys and a few jumps from perfectly good airplanes for my Uncle Sam. We thought about selling out 2014 Yamaha V Star 1300 Custom but then thought about all we will miss in doing that.

I need advice on where is the best place with price being a big factor, to get our bike converted to a trike-3 wheeler and I don't want to go the training wheels look. I don't need all the the extra bells and whistles. I saw a Yammie 1300 converted with the original saddle bags left on and only wheels, fenders and a small trunk added. I am not opposed to trading but that seems to get out of my price range. I have owned 3 Yammies and on Big Mamma Harley, loved the HD and sound she made but found out quickly it was too heavy for my knees.

Any suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated. My bike was a new build in 2018 from a dealer that went belly up and Yamaha redirected his stock to my local dealer, so I got 2014 with 1 mile on it for a great price.

Gentleman and Ladies hit me back with some ideas and suggestions.

God Bless

Jim

welcome Jimmy Randy does business just outside of Houston in Conroe Tx. When you are dealing with conversions the installer is the whole key to success.

Welcome to the forum from Western Communist controlled Pennsylvania. I don't know how close you are to Conroe Texas but as the others have said If you want to deal with an honest man Give Papa Zook Cut'n shoot customs. a call and talk to him. We are all ruled by budgets of some sort. Cry once has been my moto for some time now. :good: Fred

Welcome to TT from Ohio. By all means Cut N Shoot in Conroe Tx. Randy is a great guy & runs this forum also. He builds several brands of trike conversions.

Cut N Shoot

Jim, welcome to Trike Talk! As has already been stated, Randy at Cut N Shoot Customs is the guy to go to!

Thanks for the suggestions on Trike conversions. It appears to me that Randy must be THE MAN. I appreciate all the feedback. I'm looking forward to seeing where this takes us, to convert or not to convert, that is the question? Actually how much does it cost to convert is the BIGGEST ????
