Hi all

I am thinking of getting a new seat for my 2017 tri glide. After looking around I think Corbin seat might be the way to go. I was wondering if anyone has tried one. I like the height of the stock seat. Does the Corbin seat raise you up. It seems most of the seats raises you up. Also wondered about the comfort. Most seat reviews seemed to have a lot of reviewers complaining of how hard they are compared to the stock seat. If anyone would like to share their experiences with Corbin seat I would appreciate it or any other brand. I am open to suggestions.

Thanks

David

I bought a new Corbin in 03 for my o3 road glide , it was a piece of crap all the leather pealed off the piping around the edje , that was in like 500 miles, it was hard and low . I got a Harley Hammack and road zepplin I like the Hammock seat a lot better sits like the stock seat no sore butt. Mustang is made the next town over from us Three Rivers MASS. I dont like them they seem really hard on the butt . That just my thought

HD Hammock seat, now question. Either the regular or the heated.

My Corbin is a hard saddle on my trike.

Comfortable for me . Russel all dayers are coushey and comfortable. I have one on my MP3. Just a note that it will take about 1000miles to break in or form to your ass.

Thanks

Did post wrong way^^^^^ BTW , you can get a custom seat the way you want . Raised or not. Just make the call . Russel seats require lots of pictures for the fitting.

Personally I should of got one of them for the trike.

Pretty sure mine is a Mustang Summit on my 14. Bought it used and picked it for the extended reach. Rode it for a year and decided the 1-3/4" back was just a little too much so I had Mean City Cycles rework it to 1" back and also change the seat area padding. For me it's not so much the hard or soft that matters as much as the shape and how it fits you.

I have the Corbin on my 2017 and have been happy with it. It does put you slightly lower and back about 1 inch.

Had to go back and reread the initial post. Thought the op said he was trying to pick his own seat ............ Gotta hate hemroids. ;)

A lot of folks love the Corbin seat, and say after breaking them in/getting used to them they are best seat ever.

I have tried them. I do NOT like them. But, everyone's butt is different.

What I use is the stock seat with an Air Hawk seat pad, and then sheepskin on top of it. Cooler in the summer, warmer in the winter. Very comfortable for me. It does make me sit about 1 inch higher.

Before spending time and money on a seat, I would recommend watching the video below, and/or reading the report below. It may save you some frustration.

In my opinion the H-D Road Zeppelin air seat is the best you can get. Yes it's a little pricey, but you won't have to try dozens of seats to finally find one that fits perfectly. You can adjust it infinitely even while riding. I have had one for at least 10 years. First the original leather one with 3 air bladders (the best one for my sciatic problem) and a newer one with only 2 bladders. I would not have a bike without an air adjustable seat. It take all the guesswork out of buying a seat.

Some people don't like it because it sits you a bit higher(you can lower it) and sits you a bit closer to the handlebars. I would suggest you test one before you buy or see if a friend has one you can test.

Good luck.

Hi all

I ended up getting an Ultimate seat. It seemed to have everything I wanted. Plus you get a 14 day trail from the day it is delivered. Don't like it for any reason you can return it. You do have to pay the shipping cost if you return it. Downside they were out of stock so had to order one. It will take 8 weeks before it is delivered. Thanks all for your input.

My choice new seat

I’ve tried a few different seats on my bikes and ended up happiest with the HD Hammock seat on my Electraglide and now on the new Triglide. Picked mine up from Surdyke.com after trying to make a deal locally.

I rode one Ironbutt and lots of long rides on the Hammock and never been unhappy. The local HD dealer had a demo and let me try it when I bought my first one.
