Hi Steve, Welcome to Trike Talk

If Harley told you NO after market exhaust will work on your 21 Freewheeler they did not tell the truth.

After market exhaust will fit, however there is a problem

Harley does NOT make a slip on muffler for your bike as of yet, so according to HD and (it is spelled out in your owners manual) the use of any non approved exhaust can void your warranty

2021 freewheeler

I too am interested in changing or modifying the factory exhaust. I plan on removing the "cat" and "maybe" removing the baffles in the stock muffler. Has anyone removed the complete exhaust system on the freewheeler. Looking for advice, and how to tips. Thanks

Here's an update. I found a company that will modify your existing header pipes, and muffler, or sell you a new package. I did the modification. The result is OUTSTANDING! The company website is https://americancustom.com/
