I wish Harley would announce some details on the new 2022 model Triglide. A dealership ordered my Tri last Wednesday. They said that I should get it in January (some time). All the info they could give me about the new 2022 Tri was the color choices. I took the grey and black. We have no idea if there could be a blacked out engine this coming year or if they will all still be chrome. In a way, I would choose the blacked out engine, so I could match my “murdered out” Street Glide. I figure they will stay with the chrome engine, so I will plan my accessories to be chrome. Now, to hope I can get my extra parts and them not be on “back order”.

Just thinking about these things out loud.

Hahahaha! The way HD is attempting to turn themselves into some rarified European styled boutique manufacturer and constricting production you should be grateful they are allowing you to purchase one in the first place. What kind of an ingrate are you anyway?

There is no way I would order anything without seeing what it looks like first let alone a hella expensive Tri Glide.

cubalz,

I have already seen the color combination on a Tri. It is the same combination as the 2021 colors. The dealer was ordering their first order of 2022 inventory and being I was going to buy a Tri, so they ordered my color choice for their first delivery batch. If I decided not to take it, I don’t have to. I do not want the straight black or the red/black, so that leaves the grey/black to buy and ride. As one of my old gf told me, “Get it and if you find that you don’t like it, sell it then.”

Are you or can you lock in a price and or an interest rate ?

Contrats on making this dream come true, I hope the supply chain issues do not become bad JU JU for you

The only thing that I was told was the color choices. The price may go up and may not. Interest rates vary by the stock market prices. There may be a surcharge and there may not. I am walking in the dark and waiting for their calls about anything they hear and as soon as they hear anything. When I built my “murdered out” ‘18 Street Glide, I could not find a lot of parts except in chrome, so I had to sandblast and black powder coat the chrome parts. Shortly after, they started releasing black parts. It is a “nail biter” waiting game for me. LOL If things go bad, I will go another route for a Tri-Glide or even an older CVO trike.

Hope it works out well for you. Watch the video below on Harley's strategy for raising prices via bike and parts scarcity. (of course, that is working out well for those with used bikes they want to sell)

Just learned from a friend who is taking delivery of his new 2021 TG today that H-D has instituted a $1,000 surcharge on TGs. It is listed right there on the website. Guess that's their way of saying they've not raised prices, lol. The supply chain constraints caused him to wait over four months to get this one.

Based on several articles I've read the supply chain constraints may get a lot worse if lots of folks loose their jobs rather than submit to the vaccine as our imperial masters have decreed. Just look at what happened to Southwest Airlines and Jacksonville traffic controllers over the weekend - massive sick out and hugh disruption. God help us is all I can say.

Fire all of them. We have just had another friend die from Covid. That makes 3. Another couple has it now. They did'nt believe in the shots either. They want you to wear masks on the plane but they don't want the shots ???!!! No patience .

Jerry, We just went thru that airline issue. Stuck in Mn could not get home to Jacksonville

We are going to find out the ATC problem is a big lie, no other carriers had a problem @ our airport.

This is looking more like a Southwest personnel problem

I hope I am wrong, but it cost me out of pocket to get to Savannah Ga and rent a car to get to Jacksonville airport where we dropped our car of last Wednesday

It sure is good to be home, I should have gone with my first choice, ride my trike there and back:p

I hear you Bill. I believe in the vaccines. Just got my third / booster shot about 10 days ago. But if the vaccines work (and I think they do) I feel pretty well protected and I observe suggested precautions. However I don't like the idea of government mandates. Once it starts where does it end? Unfortunately history tells us it doesn't end well . . . if it ever ends at all.

Wow. Sorry to hear of your (mis)adventures. Is Southwest going to reimburse you for the added expense. Yeah right. Good luck with that.

Anyway I was just reporting what's been reported on the 'news', lol. Not that I took it at face value and believed it. Whatever the actual situation is I fear things will grow worse before they get better. I sure don't plan on flying any time in the foreseeable future . . . if ever.

If your job requires vaccines...and you want to stay at the same job...get the d--n shot! Flu shot, measles shot, rubella (sp?) shot, mumps shot, etc.... Get The Shot!. It's the only way to get rid of the masks and get back to semi 'normal life'. Vaccinations are required for school age children to begin school. I don't care if it's emergency authorization...it's been tested and approved. People that think it's just 'Big Brother' mandating to them and resisting on 'principle' are endangering the rest of the population. The large majority of cases and deaths this summer have been un-vaccinated... Stupid!

I too am eligible now for my booster shot...getting it lined up. Had our first two shots last spring in March.

The only government mandate that I'm aware of...and I may be wrong on this...are on Federal Employees and Contractors...so as their employer, the Gov't has the right to require employees be vaccinated to come back...or stay at their jobs. The Corporations and Business community are maybe following the Feds lead, but are not under Gov't mandates to do so...that I'm aware of...of course, I may be wrong!

Thanks Jerry. Yeah, reimbursement, no not so much. I dunno for sure what went so horribly wrong and I am not pointing the finger at what I don't know for sure.

What I do know 4 sure it was not the weather, nor the ATC workers in Jax Fl.

This started out last Friday in Ca Bay area with the bad weather reports. If that were true the flight logs here in Jax would bear that out and they do not

I tracked flights on my phone and I did see others landing and taking off from our airport

Southwest told us on Sunday ( now mind you our flight home was on time with NO delays until an hour after we were at our gate)

3 hours later the flight was cancelled , and we were told we could NOT get out of Mn to Jax until the 13th

Having reread both my posts above, I apologize for the tone that I used.

But not my thoughts and beliefs on the vaccination matter.

I do not see anything wrong with your posts, you expressed your opinion without directly bashing or hurting any ones feelings

The only thing I am concerned of is my soon to be 6 year old grand daughter having to get vaccinated.

I dunno how much testing has been done on kids that young, and what are the long term effects?

She has also already had a very mild case of the virus ealy on and said Pa Pa I just had a runny nose:p
