The comments on Fox News and elsewhere, even the lib news are interesting to read. For someone as anti 2A as he is, I'm absolutely amazed at the lack of gun safety on the set. More so, I cannot conceive of how he could aim and fire when he was not actually filming. Every day, more horror stories come out of the woodwork. Simply said, this should not have happened. There was a total breakdown in protocols. The lawsuits are going to be astronomical. Ultimately, will Baldwin be charged ?

Remember coming off the gun range......Sir - No Brass or Ammo - Sir.......

This was published on Fox bout an hour ago….

[h=2]Rust' crew member who gave Baldwin firearm was fired from previous job after prop gun accident[/h]

"First of all, our condolences go out to everyone affected by the recent tragic event in New Mexico," a producer from the film "Freedom's Path" told Fox News on Monday.

"I can confirm that Dave Halls was fired from the set of 'Freedom's Path' in 2019 after a crew member incurred a minor and temporary injury when a gun was unexpectedly discharged. Halls was removed from set immediately after the prop gun discharged. Production did not resume filming until Dave was off-site. An incident report was taken and filed at that time."

My first reaction was that EVERY gun is loaded and should be treated as such. Then I wondered how and why live ammo was even in the area. Seems a lot of finger pointing and excuses being made..... Low budget and inexperienced employees, etc. Now I read that the gun was fired pointing directly at the camera (on purpose). That being the case, I believe it is the responsibility of those involved, ie: the shooter and the one being shot at to doubly make sure of the safety of what they were doing. I don't think they can or should reasonably pass that responsibility on to others just because "it's customary" in the industry.

Basic firearm safety learned in every firearm safety class was not followed. Sorry Alec. You pulled the trigger. You're in big do-do..... Jim

I saw that. It will be interesting to see if Baldwin is charged with homicide. The ultimate responsibility for gun safety is with the person holding the gun.

So when has a libtard ever taken personal responsibility…. They leave it up to EVERYBODY else to do that FOR him. This just adds more fuel to the fire of doing away with 2nd Amendment.

Not to mention why a weapon that could fire live ammo was on the set??? Adding sound and muzzle blast to the film should be easy, even for those chowder heads.

In this day and age, without question. I am sure by now, he knows he's screwed up big time. If it were any of us, we'd already be in jail most likely.

Not a good situation 4 sure

I am wondering why would a real gun with live ammo be used in a movie set

Is a stunt prop gun not capable of firing live ammo? ( as said by a weapons expert today)

If so then someone is in big trouble, that said Baldwin is a producer of the movie and my guess in a civil trial they will hold his feet to the fire

This just adds more fuel to the fire of doing away with 2nd Amendment.

No doubt this is how the liberals will see it, instead of blaming those that handled the weapon. Especially the knucklehead that brought live ammo on A MOVIE SET!!!

Once the injured partys or their relatives get the big buck$$$$ sentiments from the insurance company's it will go back to ''their'' normal in a few years...

They admitted the pistol was used to shoot tin cans earlier. I've no doubt a live round was left in it. A blank looks a whole lot different on the business end.

Hay , some one f###ked up ! If you kill some one with a car , you don’t see any one protesting car ownership

I believe in conspiracies' ....Not in coincidence......

IE;;....Just by coincidence the crew on the set were complaining about poor pay and ''Unsafe'' working conditions...... And just by coincidence a live round just so happened to end up in a gun.......

Geeze .............. Don't give them any ideas.

A motor vehicle is a legal weapon and everybody has one…. And like a gun the Vin number is like the gun serial number . And the license plate tag is your name and address in code.
