Hi Everyone. I'm Pat & my husband is Rob. We live in Alabama. We've been lurking around here for a couple weeks & have learned a lot from everyone here. We ordered our trike last week & hope to pick it up next week. We finally decided on a 2008 Pearl White Gold Wing with Roadsmith conversion. We are so excited about starting to ride again.

Hello Pat and Rob, and a big welcome to TrikeTalk. We are so happy for your news because it means more smiling trikers on the road. Come online frequently, share your rides, and any information about the trike that would be helpful to everyone. Glad you have joined!

Hello Pat and Rob, welcome to the Board. There are a couple of us on here from Alabama. TrikerJim is up by B-ham and Bazooka lives over in Dothan. So U are not alone on here. Good luck with ur new trike. There are a lot of good conversions out there.
Also Roadsmith has a forum on here to help out it's customers. Ride safe and enjoy this weather.
We are currently camping out on the Alabama River near Camden Al.

Hey Pat and Rob and welcome to the "tricycle club" !! Glad to have you with us and maybe we can meet and ride sometime. Keep us posted and join right in on everything...:)

Welcome from another who is waiting on their trike. Mine will be a much longer wait though Have fun, ride safe and post pictures.

And welcome from yet another soon-to-be-triker. I'm still in the shopping mode, but have settled on the model I want, and now just have to find THE ONE I want.

You'll love it here!

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. JuJu I understand the trying to decide which trike to get. We researched & test drove a lot before we finally made up our minds. Then the hard part begins. After deciding on the trike all the important stuff starts like what do I want to add to it. We had a list but as we got closer to build time the longer the list got. Get ready to make some hard decisions.LOL

Right you are, Wing Rider! I am all about the accessorizing, but...if only money were no object. *sigh*

Don't know a lot about Roadsmith , only what I read on this site. Sounds like a good choice ( As I said before none are bad just different )

Welcome to the life!

Any questions about setting up you bike for cross country tripping, Give me a e-mail. I would be happy to help with do's/dont's.

Goldwing is Definitly the way to go, but will need some comforts added to help the riders.

injoy! Hint: Fuel! Average MPG 35 mph.... While it is being built, have a extra fuel tank installed. With a trike kit, fuel mileage is lost due to mase. You will kick yourself in the butt later without extra fuel. (expecially in the plains states)

We did go with the aux fuel tank. Don't know if we will ever need it but decided to add it just in case. We added lots of extras during the building process. We picked the trike up on Thursday & are having a great time with it.

Filling that Auxilery tank is a bit slow going.....(I'll explain) Once you fill your bike wait a minute and look again. :confused:It will appear empty again. This will happen a few times to get the other tank full. The dealer should explain it to you.
I will expect a picture of your new ride for viewing soon. (Avatar)
