water pump 2014 Triglide

Hi my name is James and I live at Clarklake, Mi and I ride a 2014 Triglide with 24,000 miles on it. I purchased it about 2 years ago it had 22,000 miles on it, late last summer when I was riding the over temp. lite came on I checked the water and it was fine so I figured it was the pump that wasn't working so I went online and found out that the water pump on 2014 to 2016 was a bad design and a new designed pump was available for my bike. So this winter I started working on it and I found out that my bike had already been updated to the new pump #26800107. So my question is: does anyone know if these new pumps are failing and if so will HD do anything to help people like me. My next question is there anything in the bike that won't let this pump run I have checked the fuse for cooling and I can make the fans run by turning on the ignition and turning the throttle 50% but the pump doesn't run. I have checked to see if the pump was getting 12 volts and found a black and two green wires, I have 12 volts checking from the black to the second green wire but I have nothing from the black to the first green wire. Does anyone know what the first green wire is for and is it also suppose to have 12 volts to make the pump run while I'm doing an engine off check? Anything anybody can help me with will be appreciative. Thanks James

Try holding throttle full on , see if both radiator fans and pump come on
