If you ever start seeing black spots in your vision, DO NOT ignore it. Ma is going thru an 8 day period where she has to remain face down so the gas bubble that was injected in her bad eye (during eye surgery) can heal the retina where it's pull away from the back of her eye. That's why she originally saw the black spots.
Ma was lucky that she caught her retina problem early or this could have been "face down" for 14 days or more. She's allowed to be vertical 10 minutes out of the hour to go to the bathroom, eat, clean up etc. Major league inconvenience as well as uncomfortable!!! She cries a lot as she HATES!!! this face down thing but it's the only way for the eye to heal itself. It's either this or being blind in that eye. It wouldn't be a bad idea to check you vision in each eye weekly by closing one eye and looking thru the other as this disease can be masked when using both eyes.
Ma doesn't deserve this but it just comes with age, she is the nicest person I've ever known.
