Reviews based on Years of Stallion Ownership

I agree with everyone on the way the Stallion takes curves. I've only had my Stallion for four months but I had a Goldwing trike before and the Stallion takes the curves much better than my Goldwing did. Don't get me wrong, I loved my Goldwing but as of now, I like the Stallion much better.

The only big improvement I made was putting a pressure brake line switch in the brake line. Wired parallel with the mechanical switch. Brake light issues are a past.

May have to have the AC compressor changed it's making a god awful sound.
Had the AC charged and it's working better but the sound is beyond annoying.
Other than that once the right Air Pressure was set it's been all good. Was
fortunate to be able to buy Stallion number 373 - a very pretty candy apple
red 2008. Went to Ford and they refused to touch it - but luckily have a great
mechanic that loves working on unusual things. He was very impressed with
the way the Stallion is put together in the engineered design. Looking forward
to my long distance trip. Just want to get more squared before taking off down
the road.

Call TBMS on the compressor. It might still be under warrantee. They will tell you where to take it.

Called yesterday - nice guy. We started by adding freon
and that fixed the cold BUT the compressor is still sounding
bad and so more than likely will have to change it out. And
YES the company was stellar and there was no hassle at all.
We were hoping that adding the freon that the compressor
would settle down but seems that it's going to have to be
replaced. Am quite happy with the company though. Took
it to Ford and they refused to work on it.. So much for Ford.
But i have a great mechanic that is able to do the work and
he has appreciation for the Trike saying it is extremely well
engineered he was impressed. So all is good.

Am going to be coming down to the keys very soon so maybe
will see you on the road.

I love the look of the Stallion and been contemplating a purchase. I do not know the Vin#. Is their any year I should avoid?

In 2009 they went to the plastic body, but then most of the early bugs have been found and worked out. In 2010 or 2011 they offered a better seat, but other than that they are all the same. If and when they produce again who knows what inprovements or problems may be created.

We have a 2009 and have no complaints.

new production was announced today on another thread. They all are pretty much the same. The factory was good at upgrading when problems were encountered.

After having mine for all of 3 weeks, and a 94 goldwing/Lehman for about 5 years before that...

I would never again purchase anything but another Stallion. No shifting, heat/ac, way more power than a bike should have, it's all awesome.

I installed a Laminar Lip on mine years ago. There is not a model specified for the Stallion, but there is a BMW model that fits perfectly. The folks at the company may be able to guide you in the right path. Just go to laminarlip.com. Hope this helps.
