CSC owners, I am going to convert my 2013 Ultra Classic to a Trike this winter..

2 questions, what is the biggest positive thing about the CSC Trike

And the biggest negative thing, something you would change or not do if you were to do your trike all over again..

Before I put my order in this will help me make any final decisions on the build I want.. I am pretty sure I am solid on ..

This is the main stuff..

Powertrak *yes

Disc Brake Type *Standard Disc Brake

Anti Roll Bar (ARB) *Passenger Comfort ARB

Electric Soft Start Reverse *yes

Park Brake Kit *No , since I normally park with the bike in gear.. I don't know if this is needed then

Performance Gear Sprocket Set - 1999-2020 ONLY *Performance Gear Sprocket Set - I am not 100% sure how much of a difference this will make, but I am going with it

JRi Fork Cartridge Kit *No Fork Cartridge Kit ---- I forget the reason as to no on this..

Thanks..

I like CSC's independent rear suspension. It handles and rides really well. I too added the Powertrak. Really helps with steering. I added their performance brakes figuring for the difference in cost why no get the best brakes they offer. Electric reverse, yes. Don't use it too often though but when needed it works well.

Their factory support is awesome too. I have always got to talk to the gentleman whom was in charge of my build at the factory anytime I have called.

Don't have any negatives to add.

Sir, I replied under one of your other post - and also shared some pictures.

Yes to the power-trak - you will appreciate how the bike handles.

Passenger comfort - we got it -wife likes the way it helps on curves, etc.

Electric Reverse - yep, we think it is worth it. We use it often. They just upgraded that reverse, and it is nice.

You didn't mention ground effects - in my opinion, it really sets the trike off.

I got the trunk light - really didn't need it.

Got the fender bra - also look very nice

Look into the light bar - take a look at the picture I shared earlier. I will show you one that doesn't have the bar - compare that to mine.

Parking brake - I did not get it and don't need it.

Go for the 17 inch wheels

Disc brake - my installer said it was not needed. So, I didn't order it. Trike came in with it - they were out of standard, so, they gave it to me.

All of my experiences were positive. The one concern that I had has now been resolved. That concern was - with all trike manufactures for Harley, if your bike has a tire pressure monitoring system, the low tire PSI light would come on since your replaced the rear tire with two trike wheels. Everyone I talked to told me that they simply lived with that light or covered it up.

Well, I rode my bike from May 2022 to October 2022 - and sort of ignored the light. Behind the scenes, I was looking for ways to get that resolved. Now, it is fixed, and my bike shows that it has 3 wheels - and all the TMPS work.

I believe you will love the CSC - and would do it again

As Jack Mentioned...Check with your DMV about the park brake....Also there are times where i want to have the engine running with the trike stationary while in neutral for one reason or another.....And the trike will/can roll away without a park brake....

My question is why trike a 10 year old ultra ? I dont Believe you get $8000. - $9000. trade in on that ultra at a dealer ? How many Miles On it ? have you upgraded the motor at all ? A kit painted installed Got to be $18000 - $ 20000. If you upgrade the motor you could spend $ 4 - 5 grand ? add that up you got $30000.? Guys on hear have been Bragging there getting Thousands off sticker price on brand new Tri Glides ? :xzqxz: I would Buy a new One ? My two Tri Glides and Goldwing had a Ebrake my new one dont I wish I had one, The brake upgrade to me is well worth the money, The fender bras I removed and filled the holes when I repainted the lousy CSC paint job, I dont like the look of them, Reverse Yes, Rake kit Yes, JRI fork Cartridges' Yes, Rear light bar Yes, The performance gear to me sounds like it would not be good for gas mileage ? Thats my Thoughts ? :D

Yes, I did see that and I apprecaite it.. I have lots of questions, that is why I posted this in this area... I really appreciate your input and the photos of your trike, Thank you..

My bike has 9900 miles on it, I am not a fan of the new Harleys, I do not like all the electronics my Buddy's 2020 Ultra Glide has been in the shop a bunch of times and each time the bike is gone for 6 weeks because the shops are so busy..

On my 2013.. it is trouble free..

I have 16" fat apes on it that I absolutely love.. Halo headlight and driving lights, new rubber and a new seat.... I really like the way my bike currently is, I really do not want to spend40k for a Trike.. Currently a local dealer would give me 10.5 on my bike if I was to trade it.. I really do not know if that is good money on the bike or not in a trade..

I do appreciate your advise on the CSC though..

For us the only down side was we ordered our kit in March and received it in late September. So plan that out on how far out delivery will be.

I spoke with the dealer and they said around March 1st I should have it back by.. I will book it by the end of the week, so that is what I am going to figure on, even if it is April I will be good with that..

I ordered mine in early November - trike was completed by the middle of May. Still time for the riding season. Plus, you are in WV - so, your season is a little longer than mine.

Your dealer might be right - but CSC gets backed up and I would recommend you consider the middle on May instead.

Good luck whichever way you go

Great point - however, my bike is a 2021 and has the RDRS feature - so, hold the break down in neutral and, it locks.

Parking Brake

Check out Bullet Brake for motorcycles. It can be added any time and at about $120.00 is a lot less expensive than having one added from the factory. I don't have a parking brake on my CSC trike and don't feel the need to have one. But if I did, Bullet Brake is what I'd do. Good luck..... Jim

Thanks Just ordered one , Looks easy install :D

Bullet Brake

I bought and installed one on our 18 Goldwing DCT even though it already had the Honda brake on it.

We are getting it triked right now so will be able to test it out in a couple weeks hopefully.

It was a super easy install, just make darn sure not to get brake fluid on your paint or plastics. Put some heavy duty rags under it when doing the install and you will be fine. I don't even remember if I had a drip or not. Install took all of 10 minutes and that included getting the rags, tools and everything else in order.

After the install and locking the Bullet Brake, I couldn't push that bike at all.

I think it is a heck of a brake locking system. Well thought out and not some plastic junk!
