I have read too many threads on here concerning the new AV91 and its bad juju. I decided to go Dunlop Elite rear tire mounted in reverse rotation. Rather play it safe than sorry. I liked the AV71, it received great reviews, the AV91 not so good. Hopefully, someone will chime in. Just my $0.02.

Yes Pat, I saw all that . But, I think it has been about a year. Hoping things got better. I have an Elite on the front (front tire) But really liked the Avon. Still not comfortable running a reverse tire (Insurance issue) . Hoping someone is running the newer AV91,will chime in.

My trike is still pretty new, so, I have not yet needed to change the front tire. When I do, I am really considering the Avon Trike - actually heard great things about them from a few riders here.

On my earlier trike (my Wing) I reversed the tire for a number of years and miles and didn't have any issues. In fact, most trike riders did that back them. Curious, what insurance concerns have you experiences or heard of about he reversed tire?

I have run the Avon tire one 71 and two 91s all worked well and the first 2 went 18k to 20k miles. The third one was damaged in a deer collision.

I had no issues with any of them.

Could not find an Avon when they put the bike back together from the collision so went with a Commander 3. So far not complaints about it other than it was more expensive.

I have been looking around for front tires. And there seems to be a shortage. Just triked my Goldwing still have a Bridgestone on front. Looked for a Avon and a Michilen Pilot Activ cant find either. My wife has been running the Pilot Activ for several years gets great milage and says it rides very smooth.

Never had a Mich on bike or trike, just the Caddy. May look for those also. Thanks for the input,

Michelin Bike tires are made in Thailand. What happened to the Michelin Man? I thought He was Fat American White Guy :xzqxz:

I am still running a Michelin Commander II on the front and Michelin Defenders on the rear. This is my 2nd CMDR II, the first one had between 15-20k on it. This one has about 10K on it. I will run the CMDR III when I need another one and keep the Defenders on the rear when replacement is needed which probably be just due to age and not wear.

Went to the Indy yesterday who supply Avon tires. Latest info tires in-route to D.C. Hopefully supplier will have some soon. Coming from the UK. :clapping:

Got 2 delivered late last week or early this week.

I ordered them from Summit back in December of 22.

Got one for a spare just in case.

They shipped 200 in a Can a couple weeks ago from the U.K. their distributor told me.

I bet they have darn near 200 back-ordered.
