What's everyone using to replace the OEM front tire? The Avon AV91 Chrome Trike tire. I believe the PN is 2120411 for the MT90B16 is hard to find. Anyone using a rear tire reversed? I hear some are getting great mileage and handling doing that.

I’m using a D402 rear reversed and it works fine. Getting ready to look for rears now… barely passed inspection.. thinking Michelin Pilot or Goodyear Comfortreds.

I just installed Dunlop American Elite Rear Tire (130/90B16) mounted in reverse rotation. Expect to get great mileage.

How many miles did you get out of front tire?

I have 6.5k on it now. But leaving in May for a 4 corner run. I'm not worried at all about the rears but don't want to get shot down somewhere on the wrong coast needing a new front shoe.

Curious what your thread depth is at 6.5 k. I’m at a little over 10k with plenty of meat left. I’ll measure it tomorrow when I’m at my dealer, but I think you should be good for at least 4-5k more till you need rubber.

I run the Michelin Commander II. This is my second one. The first one had about 15k-20k on it. This one has over 10k on it and is still good to go.

I have a No Mar tire changer so I can experiment with different front tires. Any of the name brand work fine so Ive pretty much settled on the American Elite. Im NOT saying its superior to anything else. How you ride has more to do with tire life, short/ long term handling. I suggest whatever you buy- get two. It seems the daily spot price on tires these days is like lobster.

2.37mm left on the oems. I'm expecting well over another 10k on this trip. The tire looks good but I got stuck having to get a tire in West Bumble Dump Idaho on a trip to Alaska, that wasn't rated for my bike because they didn't have the right size.

Checked my tire today, I’m at 4/32…replace at 3/32, dealer guesstimates I’ll get another 1500-2000 miles before I’ll need to replace it.

Good to know… I’ll be ready for that tire early spring.

I’m running a Pirelli Angel GT 160/60R-18 reversed. It handles well, and tar snakes are completely harmless now!

Tire changer? Love it. I also had one for 15 years. Changed many a tire on both my bike and the wife's. Always changed them out when about 3/4 way down. Safety was alway my first concern. Expecially at 75-80 mph. We preferred softer tires. Made for a smooth ride. Drawback was you had to replace the tires around 6-8 thousand mile. We did a lot of riding back then, not so much anymore. Did go thur a lot of tires though. Oh well, today is a new day.

I've been planning a trip to West Bumble Dump, but can find it on the map. Do you have a grid coordinate?

I have a request in to Avon asking if and when they'll be available.

I have had a request for the same info in about 2-3 months ago and still no answer.

They just keep pushing the date out farther and farther.

So now I have 2 on backorder, going to get 2 this time so I have one should I ever need a spare.
