For my entire Bacon career I've been frying bacon in a frying pan. Saw an article on-line about cooking it in the oven. Tried it and like it.....a lot! Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with foil (for easy clean up). Put in oven for 12 to 15 minutes depending upon crispness desired.
While bacon is cooking, I get my griddle and pancakes, french toast, eggs, etc ready. Remove bacon from oven and place on paper towels to remove grease. Place used paper towel on foil to soak up left over bacon grease, fold up and dispose. Cookie sheet still nice and clean and NO bacon spatter on the stove!
The article said restaurants/buffets use ovens when cooking large quantities of bacon. Thought I'd post this in case there is anyone else here who might like bacon.....!!!!!
